With hair that beautiful I don't understand why you don't have a million subbies by now. New subbie here. I can definitely learn from you. Gorgeous hair.
Dragon is talking about the hair's ability to retain water. Water is very necessary for hair growth, high porosity is when your hair is very porous, i.e water just goes through your hair - it dries very quickly without the hair trapping some of the water. When your hair is low porosity - the cuticles are closed and doesn't lift for the water to get into the hair, so although your hair looks wet it's not being absorbed into the hair, but feels real dry. in both cases you have to do something to make sure the hair gets and retains some water. YOu can tell if your hair is low or high by how it reacts. My hair is low porosity, so I cannot use a diffuser, my hair remains sopping wet as it takes forever to dry, & a strand of water placed in a glass of water will remain sitting on top of the water. Normal porosity is the best because the cuticles is not wide open where the water just flows through the hair, or the other extreme - tightly closed so water cannot get in. It's necessary to know what porosity your hair is in order to give it what it needs to grow.
your videos are inspiring. I've been wearing hair natural for two years. so glad I made the change. I'm still learning though. I'm still struggling with frizz :(
Vershauna Mays instead of a cold rinse, why not keep styling products in the fridge....that way you won't have cold water on yourself in the shower? Just a suggestion.
You have beautiful hair! Do you use warm or room temperature water in your spray bottle to detangle? When washing your hair, I noticed you did not do this in sections after the detangle. Is this how you do this most times? Thanks for sharing and Happy New Yr!!!
+mjgarner123 Thank you so much! I would say that I use room temp water or just the lukewarm water from the tap. And I used to always wash my hair in sections but I decided not to do that because I feel like I can control the tangles pretty well with the downward shampoo method. Sorry I didn't answer sooner and Happy New Year to you too!
I thought alcohol dries your hair out. because I had used the aussie deep conditioner and it left my scalp so dry and flaky. Along with dry brittle hair 😔
Deadass hair goals as fuuuuck 😍😍😍😍
You are so darn pretty without makeup that I actually find you prettier without it :S

+Mae Cherie Thank you!
rinsing in cold water is for people who are high porosity, warm water rinsing is for low porosity hair people.
what does that mean lol im not a hair expert
