Minorities in Malaysia on the surface looks nothing out of the ordinary, but underneath, minorities have no rights. Thank you, for talking about Malaysia. So many people are in pain and are afraid. Christian in Sabah here. I am glad I'm not the only one who seeing and experience this. Especially at present time, now. Muslim people are getting rowdy because of the Palestine Israel conflict, angry and boycott. I have No problem if they support Palestine and boycott but after that Molotov incident, vandalism and threats, I am scared. But lately I heard Muslim people talking they beginning to target non Muslim or kafir as they called us, because most of us don't want to take part in their boycott because we don't want anything to do with that overseas conflict. This terrifies me but it doesn't end there, it amplifies it because of what happened in Australia lately, for those who don't know, the stabbing of bishop mar mari Emmanuel by a Muslim. If they can go crazy like that, it's only a matter of time and a very bad luck day, Malaysia Muslim will do the same on the pretext of boycott for Palestine.

Once, my roommates saw me reading my Bible and they ask me about what I read. I told them about the Old Testament and about how the Israelites rise and fall in their journey to walk with God and how we can learn a lot of lesson from their journey. They got angry and started to mock me, calling me names and such. Like what.. baru sikit dah marah. Belum lagi kita sentuh hal Islam😅

He's afraid that if his children become Muslim, and have second thoughts of their religion, he don't want them to experience the atrocities that he endured. You see, what he says is true, a fact. In Malaysia, Islam is taught in schools as official subjects. Those student who father or mother or guardian is a Muslim, they must learn the subject whether they like it or not. But a student who parents or guardian are non Muslim, they are encouraged (actually, brainwash is the right word here.) to learn it. Only if the student is not baptized or official devotee of non Muslim religion. Children knows nothing about religion, god or heavenly things. Therefore they are easy to mold. And then make these children who doesn't know better to make a vow to two witnesses (I bet it's a Dawah or ustaz) to hold Islam as their religion. Their name will be registered to the government as a muslim. Therefore sealing their fate. Forever chained to Islam. This is what he was afraid of.
If you thinking why didn't he just ask for help from a fellow Christian to teach his children about Christianity since they are basically have no hold on any religion? Persecution is real here. We could be arrested and beaten. Worse, killed.
If he truly seeks the truth from father in heaven and jesus Christ, I pray and hope God will save him and his family. And show him the way, Just as how god save me, and show me the way. For I almost become a Muslim at the age of 8 years old.

Thank you for featuring our country. Somehow Malaysia always portrays itself as a very accepting, Multicultural and religion country. Yet internally, every non-Muslims know of the unfair treatments that we get and it became such as norm that we always kept silent about them and pretend nothing happens. It's also weird because Malaysia is the only country where the majority is threatened by the minorities existence when the rest has been nothing but peace.

I think many of the videos shown are about 10 years ago. Recently things have been doubled down with the islamisation in the country, using Malaysian Chinese Muslim converts to to proselytise non-Malay Muslims particularly the Malaysian Chinese under the disguise of racial harmony/tolerance. That American who commented that everyone born in Malaysia is a Muslim is wrong! Only if, they are from the Malay race solely. Don’t forget Malaysia is a multi-racial country comprised of Malays, Chinese, Indians, Ibans, Kadarsan, Murut, and some native tribes. Only the Malays form the majority of Muslims. Therefore, when their parent is Muslim, they are born Muslim but not to other races.
Further, in the Malaysian Constitution, Malaysia is not an Islamic Nation, but a secular country which is clearly spelled out in the Constitution.

I am a Malaysian Christian, it was so sad seeing how my people makes Malaysia like its a islamic country although it’s not. The first prime minister in Malaysia,Tunku Abdul Rahman himself declared that “don’t make Malaysia an Islamic country, and it’s enough that Islam is just an official religion” in his statement we can see that he clearly said and make a conclusion that MALAYSIA IS NOT AN ISLAMIC COUNTRY. But the corrupted politicians in Malaysia is the one who is the source of all this problem. They only apply the freedom of religion to a non muslim who wants to convert to islam only and not the opposite which I totally doesn’t support. I believe that every people has their right to choose their own religion, and this type of people(like in this video) needs to understand that every people has their own belief. I pray that Malaysia will change one day and gives freedom of religion to its people. For your information, it is a controversial to build a massive church in semenanjung Malaysia which sadden me, where is the tolerance?
