I just have a comment, because I grew up as Baptist, we know where all the books of the Bible are with close eyes. Not kidding. I am so glad i was taught the most precious book in the world. We had debates, girls against boys. There were some tournament, like in school. School debates were awesome. I am not sure we have that kind of fun these days. It was fun, competitive, and rewarding. This is not a criticism, only to bring back how awesome my childhood and younger life was. Also, today people take it their phone to church with the Bible inside. I love real books, paper looks better.
This video is so good that I ended up watching it twice. Cat, this is bible journaling at its best - not just pretty stickers or drawings, but an actual participative, outreach to the Lord, spending time in his word, soaking it up, applying it. I love this.
I was able to find this on the thrift book website. 🥰🙏

I love this! I gave this same bible and like you have lots of tabs. There’s a lady here on RUclips I got the idea from her to make this my prayer bible instead of having a journal bible. On the first pages I added decorative paper and on separate sheets of paper I wrote out a list for prayers for each of my kids and husband, church, etc. and the tabs help because I can pray the Word of God.

That's cost way more than a average premium Bible. These Bibles should only be sold around $16-$35 no more it's not worth it
@@catwoods5499 Unfortunately this bible is out of print and the ones who have it, know it and are listing it at very high prices!! I was blessed enough to find one locally very recently (I really think there was some Divine intervention at play) but it was also a bit pricey (imo, $30) for a used bible even though it was in very good condition. I used some store credit and paid $15.

I don’t worry about others seeing my bibles, they do as I am a Life Group leader, but I write what I am learning. It’s my time with my Father. I try to not allow making mistakes interfere with that relationship.

Hi Cat! Glad you posted this because I had forgotten I had wanted this bible. I have been following you since you started your bible journaling and I remember you discussing this bible before - what had kept me away from it at the time was that the only version I could find was a KJV. However, I have grown in my ability to understand and appreciate that version and it's not a hindrance to me. I just checked Amazon and found the author of the Pray the Scriptures Bible, and under his page I was able to locate a copy of the KJV version in the blue imitation 'leather.' It was more than I would normally spend for an imitation leather bible ($89), but just to have this bible is important to me so I ordered it from one of the bookstores that still had a copy. In any event, interested readers may be able to find a KJV version with a little searching online. Can't wait for mine to come!

No I don't have it next to me. I say it in the reviews over this Bible. It's not a common name. I think it's bethel but idk check out the review for more information
I memorized the books of the Bible from the children's Wee Sing tapes when my girls were little. Only problem is, when the pastor says "Turn to Habbakuk" I have to sing to find it! Ha ha! Your videos are a blessing, Cat.
I learned to sing the New Testament. Wish I'd have learned the Old Testament. 😊
This is so funny, cause even when I know where a book is, as I turn to it, I hear that old song playing in my head! And then there are the times, like you, when I need to find a book using that method! Would be faster to look at the index, but instead…🤗
Ooh I was never taught that! I’m usually ok until it comes to the minor prophets which are just too short to find easily.
@@bella-bee Google “Books of the Bible song/Duncan Johnson” to find the older version I grew up w/.
I had to search thro a lot of newer versions to find it for you. They all seemed to be focussed on the music & seemed harder to learn the actual books!
The OT is a different melody that the NT & that’s what’s on his.
I never learned the OT one, so at 71, I’m going to play this song til I have them down!

Hello Cat I am back again. I had to tell you my journey with the Pray the Scriptures bible and how much I love it. I purchased the bible before it went out of print found it through a retailer for 59.00 I got faux brown leather copy so I snapped it up and soon as I got it I loved it. It is the best purchase I have ever made. I love to read it every day and I like you have marked it up. I decided I wanted to try to find another copy recently to my surprise they are selling this book now for up to 500 dollars because it is now out of print. I did track down another copy of it and it is a used copy and I am waiting for it now but it is sad they stopped printing this book and that is why the price has gone up tremendously. Thank you for doing this vlog to show the bible if I had never seen it I would not have a copy and I thank you for that. I would not mind having the hard cover and will continue to search for it someday maybe I will come across again. I love it best bible ever I have a lot of bibles that are all different but this one is my favorite.
I loved taking this video tour of your Bible with you. I have a journaling Bible that I sometimes do art in. But I also take notes in it. I love the combo of both as God inspires me 🙌🏼😊❤️✒️🎨
those tabs are so old school. I used those once a long, long time ago, and I have never put tabs on any of my bibles since. Now they make them so much better with reinforced tabs. Thank you for sharing! Love to see your process and progress!!

I think the tab issue for many people is they don't use them for what they are actually for " to find the start of the books" they use the to pull at and pull open to that book, I put my fingers to the tab and use them to lift the previous pages of course if I try to lift the weight of the pages by the tab it's going rip the delicate paper
Tabs are great if you use them properly
Just wanted let new users know its not the tabs that rip the pages at all, it's like anything else use it wring and it will wreck the items.

This is my first to see your channel. I am so thankful to see your well used Bible! I am so about what your learning from the Word and how you reenforce it with notes and stickers to remember!! I have just bought a new journaling Bible. I’m an most interested in being Still and knowing God! The art work is pretty but that’s not where I’m going with my journey. Your openness and showing your “raw” journaling is exactly what I’m looking for! Thank you for sharing this intimate time with God with us!!!

This is 1st vid I seen of yours. You know your Kitty Secret (precious name) sees how much time you spend looking at and touching the pages of your Bible and the love he sees and feels generating from you. He decided he would touch it too and be a part. Plus, as you say it was a grippy place for him to land on or take off from. I'm sure he feels the love you have for him and they can't always help they claws around delicate things when they are zipping around (especially paper!) Haha. You said at least it is a memory for you. Nice job on the prayer bible and I agree with all your comments on what is important.

My gosh! You got such a pretty colorful Bible. I never knew bibles could look so crafty and beautiful. Wow!! I have many bibles but they are hard to understand. I was also given a Bible from a very close friend of mine. I made a beautiful crochet Bible cover case for it. But never thought of opening up to read it. This might get me motivated to try. This is amazing news to hear. Pick up that Bible and read it every single day even if you don't fully understand what your reading right away you will soon learn how to read the Bible like a Bible and not like a book. Each time you fight through what everyone calles the boring stuff or confusing things your spirit is building a stronger connection with God. And like with anything else the more you do something the easier it will become.
Translation I would recommend for all new Bible readers or students... NLT CSB NIV NKJV ESV NASB all are amazing translation leading up to the KJV translation which is one of the most difficult to read for everyone but so powerful & beautiful too ✍📖📚🙏☕💕
Hello Cat, loved your video and set out on a search to purchase this bible. I was able to find one last week and just got it today. I am so excited to study it I love it. I just looked through it briefly but love how easy it is to understand. I have many bibles but this one I can tell I am going to really love it. I also noticed when searching not sure what is going on with the pricing of bibles but i had found a used book company that had this copy that i have today. I then did some other searching online and noticed amazon was selling this bible for 298.00 which is ridiculous in price. Happy I got a copy of it and paid a reasonable price. I know you said the tabs are a pain. I am going to put tabs on my new bible I like the fact you can just look and find the chapter easy with the tab and I have not had tabs before but excited to try them out.. I ordered some off the daily grace company. thanks again for sharing.

I do have a Journaling Bible I just received that the print is so small I can’t even see it teeny tiny small and the margins are really small I can give it to a friend but I cannot see it to use it. The same author of those bible notes/prayers also has a book by the same name and is available in print and kindle.

Did you start on page one and go straight through to end or you skipped around until it was finished? And is this more of a regular sized Bible because compact Bibles I can’t see the print.
You can do this with any Bible you want or size. Also you can read straight through which I highly recommend even through the books that are not soooo fun. I will read a (1) psalm chapter than I will go right back to reading through my entire Bible seems to help me not get bogged down you know. But it's important to understand the full story of God's word and not use His Holy Words like some kind of magic 8 ball.

Unfortunately no that Bible is out of print and the ones being sold go from anywhere from $300-$600. Please don't ever purchased one for that price. Keep looking on Amazon or any use book sites like halfprice books.
Also keep praying over it and God will open the right doors for you to get one

@@catwoods5499 ... So have you had to do underline and highlight every book you've ever read at school/college so as to be able to '..learn and obtain' whatever you're reading.. or is it just something that started to happen when you opened your first Bible?
Just my Bible. I have found this is the best way to help me not only understand but to also be come more engaging with active with my Bible. As you can tell I'm actually excited to read & to hear from the Lord every single day not just on Sunday
@@christianwolstencroft3431 I highlight my regular books too (not fiction though) and in school not only did i highlight but I also had to rewrite my notes for retention. I have a terrible memory and had to work very hard for good grades. Retention does comes from highlighting, underlining and notetaking but I think the more important thing that's going on is engagement with The Word.
