One of my all-time favs... so beautiful - so serene, so tranquil, and so picturesque and imaginative. It is one of those songs that I can easily picture something in my mind visually; like walking out onto a mountain cabin deck at when the sun begins to peak over distant mountain range at sunrise, and then taking in that first breath of crisp, fresh morning air. Dew drops on the rail, coffee in my hand, steam rising up slowly from it. There's dew on the rail, and not far off, a lite covered mist slowing dissipating over the grassy valley floor, and a pine tree lined lake further off with glass-like calm rests in front of a ridge of distance snow-capped mountains... something like that. That is what this song brings to mind every time I hear it... not quite the Red Rocks of New Mexico, but just as beautiful.
I’m so glad to hear that song and watching you play it. I own a copy of „Land of Enchantment- Musical Postcards from New Mexico“ and this song is on it :)
Beautiful piece, and love the sound of that Parker. Are you mixing the pickup with the acoustic sound here? I had the chance of playing my friend's Yoyo (another Parker archtop) and it was a marvelous guitar, no doubt! Wat is the unique name of this particular guitar?
Thanks Doctor: it’s Ken’s loaner guitar, called Lucky. I will miss it. Amazing guitar. I use a bit of pickup and push the bottom pretty generously. But it’s mostly the 2 mics.
That headstock is ugly and the wire coming out from the pickup is disconcerting and should come out the ass end… I think many guitarists love to appreciate the aesthetics of the instrument as part of the overall experience. Great tune though, like the bass line…😎
Thanks for your insightful and helpful commentary! I'm going back to the drawing board right now and see if I can't fix my dreadful mistakes. Hughdemeng!

A wonderful nice piece. Rip mister chapdelaine.
Wowsa, what a great melody! Beautiful playing too..
Wonderful as always, and nice backstory. Like the way it sounds on that guitar.
God this is still one of my favorite tunes of all time. So nuanced, Michael.
Students miss you at UNM!!!!
Exquisite! Masterly performed. Likely the best and most beautiful piece of music I’ve heard all year, maybe longer.❤
One of a kind performance Michael, greetings from California 🙌
Hello Michael you are a teacher playing guitar, congratulations from Bogota Colombia

Hello from Florida -- beautiful playing.
Great rendition of your song - the Parker Archtop is so well suited to that, gives it just the right vibe, well done!
Excellent composition, Michael. Bravo.
I’d often wondered what one of Ken’s one offs would sound like in your hands. Thanks.
Beautiful piece played with great sensitivity....contemplative, meditative and sublime! 🧡
This piece is beautiful! Beautiful doesn't even adequately describe the piece or the playing. I need a Thesaurus!
Stunning.

Wow, now my favorite ! Just lowered my blood pressure and that’s hard to do, haha.

@@MichaelChapdelaineofficial well, that guitar is certainly "Lucky" to be in your hands for a while. Take care! Love your videos.
