    Yes , I ran into a situation where the pre-amp was not good enough the eliminate the needs for the talent to eat the mics

      There’s always a catch, cheaper preamps are good for condensers and sensitive mics. But when you get a quote mic it can be a problem.

    Hi I watched this video and your video about setting up with the wave. I use reaper plugins I had settings I liked for the eq and compression for the MV7 do you think those settings will work well with the sm7b?

      It will be a bit different, I did a comparison between the two and you can hear the difference in tone. Good thing is you can play around with the plugins and get a preset the way you want it. For me I like to do things manually a lot, which takes more time but I’m crazy like that.
      Post processing is all up to the user, so it’s tough to say one thing is right or wrong.
