I have tried my fair share of natural deodorant and from my experience Type:A is the best brand! It's creamy and doesn't leave any rash because of how non-abrasive the formula is! Smells soooo good too. There is also a period of time where you do smell a little worse but I believe it's worth it!
You absolutely need to detox first, so it takes a few weeks to even know if natural deodorant works. It explains that when you purchase it from Native. Or see their website.
I’ve been using Native for over a year now and I love it. It takes time for your body to adjust to it and it doesn’t stop the sweating because it’s not an anti-perspirant BUT I really feel like it works and if it’s better for my body- why not 🤷🏻♀️ I have sensitive skin and I’ve had no issues.
I have used Kopari for 6 months and I love it! I’m happy I switched from secret. It does take some time for your body to get used to not depending on chemicals. That adjustment I would say was 2 weeks. I have not had any skin irritation issues with Kopari and it smells fresh whether I’m working my 12 hour shift or at the gym sweating my butt off. Highly recommend!
I've tried so many natural deos. Schmidt's Lily of the Valley (that specific scent) is the ONLY one that works for me. It can take time to find one that works but don't give up!! For instance, I had a so-so experience with native. It didn't really work for me, but I kept trying more and more kinds and finally found one that worked after a few years. Also, to those who experience irritation with natural deo - it could be baking soda in the formula. Because of this, many natural deo brands make a "sensitive skin" (usually means baking soda free) option!
Natural deodorant always gives me a major rash. Totally burns my skin.. very painful. I had to go back to regular deodorant.. but they have like 99% natural deodorant that’s very good. It’s by live clean Plus. The issue with natural deodorant is like .. once you have smelly sweat.. and that smelly sweat gets into your clothes .. you’ll always forever smell when you wear that shirt. So you really need to be on your a game for showering and wearing super clean clothes ..
I have switched to natural deodorants and often use different brands. I did experience the stinging and bumps for a while when I first switched. Now, the only time I really get bumps is after I shave.. so I stay away from my natural deodorants with baking soda in them for the first few days after shaving! I haven't tried Native yet so I'll have to check them out!! Going to watch your smart sweets review now!! Love smart sweets 🥰🥰 new to the channel & so glad to be here!
I bought the travel size native coconut and vanilla scent. It works really well for me just trying to get past the $12 price tag for a full size. I want to try the tea tree fragrance one though.
I also had a rash for 2 or so days when I switched but I feel like the longer I used the product the longer it also last on me! I love the Native Powder or Coconut Vanilla scent!
I’ve been using Native for 6 months now and I’d give it 3.5 stars out of 5. I continue to use it because it lasts the longest of all the natural deodorants I’ve tried and breaks me out the least. But I always have red bumps under my arms. The whole detox thing was not true for me, natural deodorant just breaks me out I guess (I’ve tried 5-6 and have only used them exclusively for long periods of time, not mixing with Secret). Schmidts regular one broke me out so bad and it hurt so bad I could only use it for 2 days, but their sensitive one I tolerate ok. Anywho still on my deodorant journey 😅
Natural deodorant started giving me rashes out of nowhere the past year. Every new deodorant gave a rash, so I've been experiencing with natural ones. I can say the best I've found are: Tom's Original care - Unscented, Tom's Nature Woods & a brand I found at Marshall's - Shea Moisture: Havana Hurricane
I personally like Native deodorant 😂 it’s the only all natural brand I actually like though. I have had to reapply before but only after a hard core workout. Everyday use is great I have gotten so many good compliments after I started using it that I smelt good. But I am allergic to aluminum deodorants tho
I am a 6th grade teacher. When I used native for a couple months I found that I was wetter in my underarms after working all day . My underarms also got like 2 shades darker from the friction.
How I came across this I was watching military videos and some how got on your page so had to put my opinion in I'm 6 foot 5 so I'm a big man you would not blive I use secret and ban and have been now for years I'm laughing so hard typing this men try some secret it's great long lasting sent is great lol
I highly recommend lumē as a natural deodorant! It takes some getting used to but I have really enjoyed using it. It’s a little expensive but lasts SO long! (DEFINITELY WATCH THE RUclips VIDEO ON LUMĒ 😂). I have used the natural brand you have in the video and it just didn’t work so well for me.
I use Every Man Jack all natural deodorant and shampoo. I have been vegan since the age of 9, but only started using natural products last year. Never going back to artificial products. My next goal is to buy a more sustainable car (Looking at a Chevy Bolt or Kia eNiro). My hybrid is efficient, but I still do need to use gas in the winter. With an EV, I can go gas free.
I love this. I get knots under my arm pits from where aluminum from regular deodorants clog up my pores and they’re so painful. Soooo I switched to Native and I do re apply before the gym in the afternoon, but also don’t like the pain from the clogged pores either.
I’ve used Native deodorant for about a year. Some scents definitely “work” better than others. I had one that just stopped working halfway through the stick. The coconut and the lavender ones are my favourites.
First off loved this video and love the both of you. Follow you all the time and spent $120.00 to get 6 of your cookies to Canada! Lmao call me crazy. Anyways, If someone got that close to my armpits no matter what I put on there, they would no longer be standing...I am just like you I am not a sweater. It takes A LOT for me to sweat; however, my armpits smell like soggy doritos or kraft dinner after I get a good workout on. Not good! So again I was like you and the ONLY deodarant that actually didnt make me smell like that was "powder dove" either the stick or spray. I wanted to make the switch just to be healthier all around in all components of my life. I have tried all the natural deodorants I could find and the ONLY one that worked for me was the "Native" brand. Based on my experience and what you said in your video. It is true, you need to do a detox. Everyone is different but you need to continue using the natural deodarant until you get that aluminum out of your pores. Only you know when that happens and it is a process, but once it happens the natural deodarant works even better. NOW, the only scent that did not work for me and made it worse with native was the orange blossom scent. I don't remember the exact scent but it was something with orange blossom, and it did not last long at all, literally within an hour. I find my body does not respond well to fruity or citrus smells more matter what the brand is. I stick to the cotton linen scent, coconut vanilla, and right now I'm using the aloe eucalyptus, and LOVE IT. These are all Native scents and they have worked the best on me. Especially the linen and cotton and the aloe one. Normally the reason natural deodarant does not work right away is because your pores are blocked from the antiperspirant and it cannot do its job. Once you work on unblocking them, then natural deodarant can do its job. The purpose of your armpit pores is so they can sweat, that is natural and I feel we should not be blocking our pores from allowing that to happen, which is why native natural deodarant is great because it will not STOP you from sweating, but it will eliminate the bad smell that is there. I have also found since I have been using natural deodarant for a year now, I do not have that same BO smell I used to have. ANYWAYS. Enough of me, I just wanted to encourage you to keep using natural deodarant because I found I was very similar to you in how picky I was with deodarant, and the only one that compared to dove was native. I encourage you to get the cotton linen kind so you can make a very SIMILAR scent comparison with the dove one. Keep making these videos :):) and She-Ra loves miley. *that's my dog*
I used this for a week and had to stop. The rash is caused by the baking soda in it. They sent me the sensitive one and I didn’t have the rash, but after the gym I would smell. 👎🏻
Jennifer Muench yeah I’m sure for some, the smell and the rash are worth it when you consider the chemicals in regular deo, but for me it just smells like cheese and I’m not into it 😂
if even after working out you still smell that good, you must not really have a problem with must. you probably don't even need to use deodorant. because for me, no matter how much deodorant I put on, after a hard workout I'm always at least a little bit musty.
I'm a guy and I use Secret. Walking thru food lion and saw a deodorant remover for women in the beauty isle. Maybe it removes deodorant below the skin?
So I know this is like over a year after y’all posted this but I’ve tried one natural deodorant and never again! Lol My pits don’t smell that much even after a workout (thank God). But the 7th Generation deodorant like made my pits smell like a man who has been working outside all day in the July heat. And I tried it for a couple months and never got better. So it’s a no for me lol
