- Deodorant or Antiperspirant? They're very different but most us don't really know why. In one way, this is understandable - both deodorant and antiperspirant will stop armpit odor. But only antiperspirants will stop sweat.
For one week, I wore deodorant on one armpit and antiperspirant on the other to put their differences to the test.

Very underrated Chanel bro props for giving good advices, i used nivea men antiperspirant for weeks but it didn't really work for me especially cause I'm a heavy sweater and i see people saying antiperspirant doesn't really block bad smell so I'm back on using deodorant again at day and antiperspirant at night and it works better
It really depends on the brand try old spice it worked wonders for me i used axe and nivea before and my underarms still sweat and smelled bad but when i used old spice it stoped and smelled good

I use lavillin cream deodorant it keeps me odor free for 7+ days in a row and it doesn't wash off with swimming and showering unless you scrub it off.
I should try this in my office too. I just hope i don't get trashed

I use them both at the same time! First I apply
antiperspirant and then over it deodorant, for better smell. After that, never had a problem with bad smell or excessive sweating.
Is it safe to use it on the same time?

I am also a very sweaty guy. I use Rexona Antibacterial + Anti Perspirant for both my Arm pits and Feets! It's really effective for me. I live in the Philippines where most of the time it's always too hot here lol.
Try old spice anti perspirant
hey nice video. I have a question though. I sweat a lot throughout my whole body like upper back and torso .so is it safe to use anti-perspirant all over the affected area?

Decades ago i switched from deodorant to antiperspirant and never looked back because it was so much better. Or so i recall, but it was so long ago now i was questioning my memory and the judgement of a very immature much younger version of me (without the luxury of researching things on the net), so i decided it was worth looking into it again. After watching this video, it looks like i made the right call and am going to stick to it.
My left arm pit doesn't smell at all even after 5 days without a wash. My right arm pit after 2 days if I miss a shower will slowly start to sweat and then after the third day start to smell but not horrible that doesn't happen till after the 5th or 6th day. I work from home and live by myself.
I will always use antiperspirant. Thank you for the advice

So I just stopped kinda using my dove antiperspirant and switched to the dove 0% aluminum and I don’t seem to be sweating a lot with it on plus my arm pits smell good even with a little sweat. Now is it that they both are working together since I’ve used it so much it’s at maximum potential my body has just stopped making bad odors and using gel deodorant just makes me smell good/decent now?

Generally daily use is best - and applying before bed is key. So for maximum results, I'd suggest applying before bed and again in the morning. With any antiperspirant, results should get better and better for about 4 weeks. Whatever sweat reduction you're seeing after 4 weeks of use is what you can usually expect from that point on.

@@imaguglielmo Yes - you can re-apply for scent after your shower, but the sweat plugs are deep enough in your sweat glands that most showering won't remove them

@@nyaraur7623 Soap will remove the gunk that antiperspirant or deodorant leaves on the surface of your skin, but it won't remove the antiperspirant plugs from deep in the sweat glands. These will instead decay naturally over time; so even if you scrub your armpits with soap, antiperspirant effects will linger for some time after regular antiperspirant use.

This absolutely works. For antiperspirant, the evening application is the important one - in the morning, if you're just applying deodorant (to help with the scent), that's perfectly fine.
Is that for only man or woman can use it as well

Women's deodorant without anti-perspirant is extremely difficult to find. I've only found one brand that even sells it, which is Dove. I tend not to sweat under my arms, and if I do it's mostly just maybe slightly sticky. I've never really had pit stains or anything like that, so I don't even bother with anti-perspirant. It just runs my bras anyway.

yeah i think women do not sweat too much like we men do so i dont think u need antiperspirant
Does the deodorant you used use all four methods to remove the odor, one or some other combination?
This experiment feels like margarine vs. butter. There are so many different kinds of margarine that it's hard to make a generalized statement.
Not really. I've used deodorant and antiperspirant from the same brand (Old Spice) and antiperspirant definitely works much better. With deodorant, by the end of the day, my armpit would be a bit smelly and by the next day it would definitely lose its efficacy; while with antiperspirant, even if I still sweat a bit (although much less compared to deodorant) it would smell good throughout the next day as well without having to reapply.
So, if you want to be fresh for a longer period of time, use antiperspirants; they "block" sweat and also neutralize the odor.

@@mrahshanullah8031because it gives it more time to get to the sweat glands and then in the morning you won’t sweat as much
@mrahshanullah8031 You sweat less at night which allows the antiperspirant to get closer to your sweat glands and stop sweating
Other thing you can do is shave your armpits and get rid of the bacteria breeding forest that is armpit hair.
Is it possible that this guy doesn’t know about the potential harm of the long-term use of aluminum salts?
Check out our video about that! A LOT of research has been done on this in the past ten years and the results are good.
Is armpit hair needed for antispirant or deodorant?
Armpit hair would end up making BO worse as sweat and bacteria are more likely to get caught up in the hair.
