- Hi everyone ! Today I wanna show you a new Custom Track I made for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe :)

I believe this is the first ever custom track to incorporate the Route Changes gimmick from the Booster Course Pass, it was really tedious and painful to set up but it works ! A big shoutout to TruelyJohn64 for figuring out how Route Changes work and helping me with these.
This track received quite some changes in the visual and gameplay departments, the biggest one being the new section you'll be racing on during the third lap !

- minimap
- intro camera
- track thumbnail
- custom music (Delfino Square remix by @IdNoPurpose )
- custom DrawBridge MapObject

Putting the Shine Gate in the middle where there's the two diverging paths is perfect! So much better than the building facades in Wii/DS. I was always kind of disappointed that Delfino Square didn't feel more like the actual city we ran around in in Sunshine, so I really like the additions and changes here!
delfino square really didn't resemble isle delfino in the slightest lmao
Fr, I didn't fully realise it was supposed to even be the same place until these videos, its not at all a tropical vibe, looks so different.
I love how that shine gate is subtle on the first two laps, and for the third one it's fully shown because it's no longer obscured by the buildings at the alley
The fact that you are the first CT creator to nail down multi paths (even playable too!) Is insane
So many people already said this but this looks on par to something Nintendo would do, it feels like a total remake of the track where it looks like it doesn't feel awkward to drive, the level of detail is extremely high, comparable to MK8 base game and the balance between a realistic style and cartoony style on the textures of the track is perfectly balanced, you really nailed it

I genuinely thought this was a track from the actual game that I had missed or not played from the DLCs
The backwards path is amazing. I guess Nintendo would never have done a backwards lap in the course if they remade this.
And i love the design, It feels like delfino square with all the Sunshine references to. Good job on that to

The backwards lap idea is perfect, guess great minds think alike ;)
They really should've done that more in the Booster Course pass, I honestly thought they were going to do that with Wii Daisy Circuit.
@@Beneficial_Gamer Huge missed opportunity to do that with DS Mario Circuit. Mushroom Bridge could have used something like that too, if it was in the BCP.

You added SO MUCH LIFE to this track! A quick mushroom shortcut in the opening zig zags, cut out like ALL of the visually obstructing buildings and replaced the scenery with exactly what SHOULD have been there sunshine references. Opened up a lot of the track and I finally understand that this track is a beachfront track from your rendition not just a city. You gave it so much personality and I even caught the Jr. Emblems. Great work!
honestly I kinda loved how tight the track got at times in the OG.
i swear mk8d mods are getting better by the minute. this looks almost official!

This is *exactly* how i always envisioned a MK8 version of Delfino to look like. Amazing work!
Giving Delfino Square its own Shine Gate is a really cool idea. It'd make sense if multiple different Pianta settlements had their own shine gates.
This map puts what looks to be Corona Mountain in the background, implying it might actually be on Isle Delfino itself.
However, I imagine it's actually a Town of Piantas in a different region-- due to its lack of tropical features. The autumn leaves on the deciduous trees indicate that it may be in an area with a climate that changes throughout the year. Potentially the Mushroom Kingdom?
Anyway, love the design. Really cool take on the town. I'd be really interested to see how Nintendo would detail a brand new reimagining of the course.

This might be one of my favorite custom tracks! I love the original spin you put on it with all the sunshine references, daisy cruiser in the background, the backwards lap, the cafe area by the start, the dolphin fountain next to the shine sprite monument, I could go on and on and on and on! Ngl the wip video made me scared but I now understand why it looked like that. I can’t wait to see what you have next!!
yeah the lightning was quite off in the wip (and the shadows add a lot too)

This is so good. It looks way better than any of the tracks from Wave 1 of the Booster Course! Great to see more people are finally pushing what is possible with custom tracks in MK8.

Holy crap, this is easily one of the best custom tracks I’ve ever seen and looks better than most of the booster course pass. Third lap was awesome and the music bopped too. Amazing job!

I really like it how you’ve opened up the split path area to make it look more like a central area instead of a claustrophobic town area whilst still keeping its original layout the same!
and of course the driving in reverse feature is a great addition for the track as well!
Dude, that’s sick! Would probably be one of my favorite courses if this was a legit Booster Course Pass course! It’s actually pretty insane to see fan made courses have better inspiration than some of the developer designed courses in my opinion! Great work to whoever made this!

Amazing job! I love all the little updates you made to bring the course into a modern design, like the grass after the Pianta statue turn, and overall it's awesome seeing that little new area for the reverse path, especially since that allows us to see the Shine Sprite tower! :D

It was incredible! I was even thinking about doing a concept tour of Lisbon (the city where I live 🇵🇹) and with this Delfino square track it would be perfect. I see you put a lot of boats, looks like we're in Porto or Aveiro or Lisbon (Portugal)! PERFECT

This custom track of Delfino Square is amazing! All of the references to Sunshine, the graphics and the lap where you go backwards are amazing! You really captured the feel of Delfino Square!
I guess the only nitpick I can think of is that on the DS and the Wii, it looks like it’s autumn, due to the colors of the leaves on the trees. But honestly, I’m not letting something like that blind me from how amazing this is! Keep up the amazing work!

this is amazing! I love all the little details to sunshine and the backwards lap is awesome! if possible, however, I would put a building or two by the shopping area as it feels a tad empty, but other than that this is awesome!

Yo, opening up the somewhat claustrophobic building areas with the Shine Gate and an outdoor marketplace is *class.* I like the Shadow Mario graffiti tags throughout, too.

The changes you made, like the shine gate and your changes to the marketplace with the shortcut, were very impressive! This makes me sad that the course isn't in MK8 exactly like this. Plus, great use of the alternate route for the final lap making the whole place feel more alive and intricate.

c'est dingue, la qualité et le taff sont fou. Le circuit entièrement refait, plus fidèle à l'île Delfino, le dernier tour à l'envers, des petits détails comme la tour avec le soleil ou même le dauphin en dessous... bravo

Man, i was saying "Oh damn" the whole way through. This is how Delfino Square should be remade. Great work! Although, i would definitely miss the draw bridge going more diagonally with the boost pads. But other than that, it's amazing and a great achievement.

This feels like it was pulled straight out of Tour's track design book, in that it looks like an actual official remodel of the stage rather than a lame straight port from DS or Wii.

I’ve played this and can I just say you did a FANTASTIC job. One thing I’d suggest for a potential future update is to make the dock path on the final lap either closed off with a pink arrow, or have a glider/boost ramp which sends players to the other side, like a reverse of the regular cut. Other than that, great job :)

This feels so real, swap this out for peach’s garden or daisy circuit and i wouldnt be able to tell! Love that you included the dynamic music at 2:13. This is awesome!

Side note: you should make airship fortress next or pipeline I know there are mods already covering these track but I can assure you that you can pull it off better than them!
This Delfino Square remake looks awesome and I love the final lap where you go backwards just like with Peach Gardens plus it would of been perfect for the BCP

I wish that in the higlight reels the camera positions were used as in the ds as in the replays.
I don't know about the game's cameras but I think I would give it a nice touch with views similar to those of the DS.

Just saw this on MarioPower55's "30 Minutes of NEW Mario Kart Custom Tracks! (2024)" video, and I am astounded by how great this remake is. The new visuals are really good - particular shout-outs go to the split path now being around the Shine Gate and the addition of Corona Mountain in the background - and I love the addition of the unused road remade as a gliding section with water spouts; plus, the added glider ramp at the end of lap 3 towards the finish line is *chef's kiss*. The pier/marketplace bit is a bit more open now which is interesting, and the bridge could probably be made to tilt higher if possible; regardless, this is a fantastic recreation. It almost feels like Nintendo made this remake.
This will be a moment in history for MK8DX modding (I hope so). Icredible👏👏

I loved everything about it. Really! I guess the only thing I'm missing are the boost panels on the last ramp. The final ramp always made for great changes in a lot of races. Other than that 10/10
This is amazing. It lacks some shadows but other than that the map is incredible.
