This is a video I get asked about all the time. I don't see a ton of them on RUclips. So figured would make a quick video on how you can do it. Remember the materials needed, take your time, apply, and have fun!
You shouldn’t press the mouse feet on hard as that can cause creases and could flatten the dome on certain feet like tiger ice etc. Just lightly put them on like a sticker and then put your mouse down on your desk or old pad -> press down lightly for a bit.
Best tutorial. I've got a G pro X and the back skate is almost see-through. From what I could find, most people never replace their mouse skates, but I use it for FPS, low sens and flickshots so I felt like it made sense to replace mine more frequently, so this video makes sense of that
Nice Video! I easily replaced my mouse feet in 30 minutes *spent 10-15 looking for micro fiber cloth only to find out that my new mouse feet came with one....
Nearly all pros use a wireless mouse and half of them use the same mouse you do Daz. I have a logitech 502 hero wired, why is this not as good as the wired option and just how much better will a wireless mouse make you?
I mean the reason pros use wireless now is because the difference between wired and wireless is not very noticeable anymore. If at all. It is mostly the loss of weight of being wireless. It is why pros utilize Bungies before or use paracords to get a cord so light it feels wireless. The G502 is a very heavy mouse is why some don't utilize it. But its a 100% a preference. It is why I don't use it. But you can off set the weight with a higher sensitivity. Remember pros go with preference, does not mean they are right or wrong. I remember when they were 100% against wireless. Well that changed quickly once wireless was confirmed as good as it was. I remember testing the G903 at the start and being in awe of how good it was.
@@Dazs 3 years later - no. mouse weight is not preference. just like a lighter car will always have higher cornering speeds, better acceleration and shorter brake distances than a heavier car - its physics. but since you have to move that weight with the power of your body its also about your health. g502 in pvp fps is a wrist wrecker - doesnt matter if you dont move your hand fast for hours every other day but if you do you have a greatly increased risk of tendonitis with heavy mice.
@@tryfle I'm gonna be honest. I forgot to to the black rubber out from under the stock feet on the centre ring. I did it for the other but not the middle🤣 issue is fixed
Hi! A bit late, but does anyone know, if the g pro wireless have a second layer under the middle ring skate? Because in the video, i didnt see the screws there :D
You're not alone, I didn't even know this was a "thing" until recently, and I have been gaming for 23 years! Funny how something so common place for some can be completely "off the radar" for others!
Okay, I thought I shouldn't peel off the adhesive and so my mouse feet actually made my mouse glide much worse LOL. Gonna try again today with the spare set i have
Really should remove that second part that is at the bottom. You need to see the screws, because it changes the lift off distance of the mouse which can be bad. But if you feel comfortable with it raised, then I say leave it. If you see performance changes, then readjust (Sorry took me a few days to respond)
well I've had my Logitech G402 since 2015 and I can say that after these 5 years... My mouseskates are completely dead. Okay just 2 days ago I 180 degree flicked someone ingame with a revolver and my mouse went off my mousepad and hit my alarmclock and then I saw that it was a little broken
this shit is stupid. I pay twice as much as I ever did for a mouse now, but I never once had a mouse skate come off on my old intellimouses. This steelseries mouse, the rear skate always peels off. This time it happened after only about 4 months of ownership.

yeah my tiger feet are kinda ruined, especially since i removed them and put them back on a few times

How long do you have to let the new skates sit on the mouse and dry before you can use them?
After I changed the feet, I noticed my mouse stuttering a little. Is it possible the feet have raised the mouse up slightly causing it to stutter?
I'm pretty sure that some mice have really low lift off distances so that is a viable problem.
@@msnu1455 if so just change LOD in software
I'm having the same issue. I think it's the centre ring. It looks as though it sit higher than the other feet. Did you end up fixing the issue?

Thanks for the video! What do you think about Tiger Arc 2? How is it different from hyperglides?
I ordered some Tiger Arc 2 to do a test and comparison. I used Hyper glides and corepadz the most.
Nik Hyperglides are faster and tiger arc2 has more control
the background music tho.... nostalgia
DONKEY KONG COUNTRY WAS MY FAVOURITE GAME AS A KID ISTG
can u make a video on how to remove scratches from mouse skates
Hi! A bit late, but does anyone know, if the g pro wireless have a second layer under the middle ring skate? Because in the video, i didnt see the screws there :D
haha that is me rn hahaha, i was getting so mad cos the lift off distance was fucked but its me whos the idiot
Just ordered some corepadz for my Zowie S1 Divina + a new paracord cable! :) Great video Daz.
Thanks man! I ordered corepadz also for my new superlight, its been a month and they are still stuck in the mail somewhere. ONE DAY!
@@Dazs Damn that sucks, luckily I'm from EU so should arrive soon.
one of my g502 feet is peeling off and i dont wanna buy new feet, is there a way to make the peeling pat sticky again?
why is looks so easy to remove the first layer of the coreapds? it like that?
What if i didnt line them up perfectly but theyre still in the grooves
Damn that OG Donkey Kong soundtrack tho
bro i can NOT get the protection film off one of the skates
Is the tiger arc reusable after removing it? I'm using it and I wanna disassemble my gpw but Im afraid I have to order another mouse skate
Do we put the mouse feet on or can we leave the screws showing
@@marcc6296 you can use the mouse without the mouse

In the end, which ones do you recommend buying?
I prefer corepads as they are more rounded, actually just put a video trying them out on the new superlight.
