@@KevinsRambles no have watched some of your videos and seen you in the Bald Explorer videos with Richard the best video ever was when you was painting at Richards House i couldn't stop laughing.
i lived on Thorney Island for about 3 years , remember going to Emsworth often on saturdays...and the balckberries were a good memory as we picked them every year .
Lovely area - bit windy though!😂 Kinda reminds me of the Oregon Coast w/ its winds!!! Surprised that they deemed it a great place for an air field die to all of that high wind! Usually airfields try to avoid place that windy for take-offs & landings! Surprised they didn't have more airplane crashes than the one you reported just because of the wind!!!😬
Lovely walk , just beautiful. Thank you
Thank you so much Debbie 😊
Nice video Kevin what a fantastic place for a walk on a less windy day.
Thank you Les much appreciated. are you new to my channel?

It was a lovely walk and enjoyed by the three of us 😀
That was definitely a bracing walk! A beautiful place and the observation posts are very interesting, you’d think they would be preserved.
Yes you would Audrey, your right how beautiful it is

Thanks Lisa. Yes your right about the airfield being in such a windy place
Well done Kevin, did you get through the security gate? And on to the church.
We did David :-) Part 2 will be coming up soon we might have found the church ;-)
The Bi-plane in question was a Hawker Fury
The gunning positions would have had an anti aircraft gun which would have been used in WW2 to defend the airfield from incoming attacks.
I'll bet the sea air was wonderful.... I have been breathing Factory pollution and residual forest fires Smoke for 2 weeks now
The sea air was wonderful Jeff, that is not good for you my friend breathing in all that poor quality air :-(
@@KevinsRambles I worry more about Ramibu.....
