An interesting town (or rather a village?). Even though it is so small, it is pretty cramped. If you compare with villages in my country, our villages look desolate and deserted. Anyway, that was a good walk!

Look like a Favela or Villa miseria
No it doesn't look like a favela at all. Streets are recently paved and they are very clean. Lots of brand new cars can be seen. Buildings, albeit non-descript and in some cases ugly, look modern and reasonably well-mantained. Begging and illicit activities appear as non-existent.

嗯，不是乡村，也不算城市，是乡镇的镇区，按行政区划和人口规模它是村，孟关乡孟关村，不要看房子和街道而论，中国现在很多乡镇都修成了这样。
