- The Steelers overhaul of their offense continues as Justin Fields will be moving his address to Pittsburgh for the short-term future. Ironic how they keep trading for the guys I shit on in Sportsball over the past year. Maybe it's karma?

@AttilatheThrilla I don't know why you people are acting like there Qb situation hasent improved yes Rus isn't his old self but his play last year was leagues better then any of the Qbs that the stealer have had since Ben.And while Justin isn't the best he showed flashes and now he won't have the burden of trying to carry the Team he can actually develop with the help of a veteran who at his peak shared similarities in play. Plus Justin is still better then Tribuskey or Rudolph.

Also can’t make plays with his feet anymore cuz of his age… He was so bad that Denver was willing to pay him $40 mill for two seasons to leave.. You guys didn’t improve you took a side step for cheap..
I watched every game Fields played in the NFL, and as a Bear fan, I'm GLAD he's gone.

As a Bears fan, I find it very odd how polarizing Fields has become this offseason. Depending on who you ask, Fields is either a franchise QB or a bum. The truth is somewhere in the middle.
The Bears failed Fields in a lot of ways, but Justin also has major flaws as a passer. He's one of the most electrifying rushers I've ever seen and overall a great character guy, but he didn't develop enough as a passer to not draft a QB first overall.
I wish him the best of luck and hope he finds success with Pittsburgh.
Fields and Russ were basically the same player last season. Russ QBR: 50.7. Fields QBR: 46.1. All their stats are similar but Russ was slightly better. I'm a Chicago native and wanted the Bears to give Fields 1 more year. Add more around him with better coaching and see what he does. They've added some nice pieces and new OC. Was hoping they'd change their mind on drafting Caleb and keep Fields. I agree he had flaws as a passer, holding onto the ball too long was 1 of them, but I feel like coaching here failed him big time. They play calling was atrocious and they clearly had no idea how to play to Justin's strengths. Most of those big runs he had were him taking off. They weren't designed runs for him or RPOs. All season long they handed to the RB on 1st and 2nd down then would throw on 3rd down. The coaching simply didn't develop him or put him in positions to succeed.
He takes too long to throw the ball, both in reads and in his throwing motion. OSU alum and fan telling it how it is.

I don’t ever remember the Steelers being *THIS* active in free agency and in the trade market before Khan was named GM.
I have been a Pittsburgh Steelers fan since 1974 and I assure you that they have never done anything even slightly like this before. The only time I can remember the Steelers trading for a QB was when they got Byron Leftwich for a 6th(?) round pick because they needed someone to fill in during Roethlisberger's suspension.

The 6th was about what I expected. Mac Jones was also a 2021 first round failure who was wildly inconsistent. Feilds has more upside but Jones has had more success in his career so far, actually leading a team to a winning record and a playoff spot. So when he went to Jacksonville for a 6th to be a backup, I think that more or less set the market for Feilds
Fields having a year to chill behind Russ and actually learn how to play rather than learning how to survive should be huge for him. I’m a browns fan, great offseason for the steelers

I think the exciting thing isn't even the moves themselves, it's how ballsy Khan is being, because that's what we need. The Steelers needed to change and evolve, or the mediocrity would never end. I love the Fields, and Willson, and Queen moves but I'm just happy we aren't stagnant and rotting away while changing nothing anymore.
