    Through the entire insanity of all of these stories, she said one of the most profound statements I've heard around drug addiction. "I don't even know how to be me, that's why I use." If you know, you know. I am a recovered addict btw.

    My bestfriend was addicted to meth (she has 11 months clean right now) and the day before she went into detox she sent the cops to my house to do a wellness check and told them I was being held hostage and she thinks in China because every time she asked for my address (to tell the cops which I had no clue why she kept asking for my address over and over again) I was apparently sending her different places in China (even though she gave the cops my address and came over to my house later in the day). She also told them that I hadn’t answers her texts or calls in a week even though I had talked to her about 10 times on the phone that day. She also truly believed that I was in her attic and would call me begging me to come out and to stop screaming at her in her attic. Many more things, but if you watch this channel and this video you get that I could go on forever lol. Very sad. But she’s doing AMAZING now and so strong in her sobriety I’m praying it sticks but I’m gonna love her where she’s at and right now she’s sober so I’m thankful ❤

    I've watched many of Mark's interviews and this one made me cry. I dealt with this intimately with someone I loved with every fiber of my being, she's gone now. To all those who are making fun of her or just see her as just another "old speed whore" I ask you to just close your eyes for a few moments. See a little girl, so small, so vulnerable. Eyes full of wonder and hope. Wearing maybe a cute sundress with a bow in her hair and pretty pink sandals. So excited about her first day of school or hoping that she may get that new Barbie Doll she saw another little girl playing with. Looking at those who brought her into this world for love, protection, reassurance that she's good and means something to them and this world. Now imagine that little girl bruised, beaten, sexually, emotionally abused told she's worthless, dirty and there is no hope for her. Who does that little girl turn too? She can't even comprehend what is happening to her. She accepts it, begins to hate herself and her existence. All wonder and hope is lost. Now open your eyes. Do you still just see "an old speed whore"?

      @@Luna7-v1peah Im in recovery for poly drug addiction (primarily crack/fentanyl and meth also in the past few years) and I've experienced some serious sleep deprivation induced psychosis. Back in 2012 I went through something really traumatic and developed serious PTSD and that combined with my hardcore cocaine use caused me to suffer from hallucinations, I was only sleeping 2-3 hours a week for several months. When I would sleep I would have terrible night terrors and when I would wake up I'd be extremely suicidal. It got so bad that I would constantly hallucinate that there were dead bodies around every corner... Eventually I started to abuse oxycotin to help me be able to pass out and it was also a relief from the mental anguish but this led to a serious opiate addiction that led to heroin and eventually fentanyl. In 2021 I overdosed on fentanyl after being up for days smoking crack and meth and when I od'd I had a gun on me.. it ended up saving my life because I got arrested for the gun and spent the next 5 months in jail which allowed me to actually get sober for the first time in almost 20 years ( since I was 16 and got hooked on coke) when I Initially bailed out and was put on house arrest with an ankle monitor at a relatives house. I also started counseling for my PTSD, depression and anxiety etc and it's played a major role in my success in getting sober. Ive only used 4-5 times in the last year and only once in the past 6months which is an unbelievable accomplishment for me. I can honestly say that in 2021 before I got arrested I was positive I'd end up dead from my drug abuse. If anyone is reading this and thinking to themselves it's impossible to get off dope know that it is possible because if I could get to where I am now anyone can. And that's not to say I'm out of the woods yet. I believe drug addiction and mental illness are things that you cant escape from but it is possible to manage and learn to cope with.

    • @jungjeru3348
      @jungjeru3348 Год назад +7

      Also in my experience I find that the meth that's on the streets these days is much stronger and causes greater psychological damage than the meth from a few years ago even. It was never my drug of choice and tbh I found it would actually make me feel tired for some reason no joke. I was a really hardcore crack user and was also selling all sorts of drugs to support myself and sometimes when I'd been up for days and the crack wasn't keeping me up anymore I'd switch to meth to keep me going and it wouldn't even keep me awake... I've been doing in recovery for the last 2 years and I've managed to only use a few times in the past year. The last time I smoked meth was during a brief relapse at Christmas time when I picked up some fentanyl and the street dealer gave me a couple points of meth as a sample. I don't know if it was because I hadn't been using in a while or what but that meth really messed me up. I only did about a point (100 milligrams or ⅒ of a gram) and I was severely twisted for several days, couldn't sleep even though I was doing fentanyl too and I was babbling/serious verbigeration at one point. It actually scared the shit out of me and I swore I'd never use meth again and I haven't since and have no plans to lol

      I appreciate your intentions with helping the kids to reject living a dark life by showing them the darkest corners of humanity.. but on the flip side I can't help but think how overexposed children already are to drugs, violence, sex & everything else that's breaking down our communities.
      If opportunities were made available in all communities for every child to participate in, kids might have a better chance at having a more fulfilling life ahead.
      For example, in lower income neighborhoods.. besides having a coulple shady little parks on a corner filled with drugs, gangs or violence, most neighborhoods have absolutely nothing available for these children to do. So they fall victim to their circumstances. It's sad but true.
      Is it possible to change this senerio? Absolutely it is!
      But not easy at all. It will take everyone to first educate ourselves with what is really happening & the deep seeded issues that create such despair.
      Marks channel is an amazing educational platform to help us understand why & how these beautiful souls got to where they are today.
      After educating ourselves.. we, NOT just the government, but "we the people", can then brainstorm ideas how we can implement some positive change into every community.
      Then take action.
      Again, it definitely would not be an easy feat.. but it is possible.

If youre not born with it, it absolutely can be learned.

      I wholeheartedly agree with and thoroughly enjoyed your comment! I know all too well the sinister nature of addiction. Though I managed to escape and have been clean for 2years I wouldn't wish it on any human. The people who aren't addicts, have never been addicted and have no genetic predisposition to addiction don't realize how lucky they are. It's all too easy for people to forget and internally rationalize all of their own sins and shortcomings while listening to someone they believe to be too far gone down the rabbit hole. I hope this woman someday gets the help and resources that she deserves.

I consider myself very lucky to have some relief, and sobriety. I wish i could hug these people and show them there is hope. • @ashmacc7868
    @ashmacc7868 Год назад +12

    Meth induced psychosis is real, and it comes at levels from mild to extreme. The troubled thought process comes first, and it makes it difficult for those listening to keep track. This goes from vocal to mental, until you even begin to write in this chaotic form. You can't even read without an inner monologue outside of your internal reading voice going at the same time you hear a soundtrack in the background of some song you can't put out of your mind. It's like being a prisoner to sensory overload the longer you imbibe. And it only gets more severe from there. And only takes days of use for the distorted patterns and processes to begin. The darnedest thing about the stuff is that it releases endorphins and other feel good, confidence hormones and such and you begin to forget how you got up and ever did anything without it. A few days in and without it your system is depleted so it must rest, and your body cons your initial onset of addiction into thinking you really can't get by without it. When your brain runs out of these chemicals, the drug continues to mimic it. Synapses are firing and you think you're nothing without it bc you're beyond exhausted but the drug keeps.you truckin'.
    She completely passed over and gussied up her childhood. Her lack of a father figure obviously affected her. I'd liken this woman as the atypical meth user. She very likely had a "put together" image and took care of herself through her years of use. Even sitting here, you can see the care put into what she has left to dress up and present herself the best she can. The soccer mom user so to speak. You'd never suspect it at times, unless you're close to them. She is aging, but she still cares how she looks.
    The worst thing someone prone to depression can ever do is mess with amphetamines. Steer clear. Coming from someone who's been there, done that and bought the t-shirt. Stick to what grows in the ground and therapy, bc those prone to feeling down are predisposed to love finally feeling up.
