  • As a service technician I encounter all kinds of different appliances on a daily basis including the GE Profile Ultrafresh. Every machine has its issues however these are the problems I believe occur most frequently. All problems were not listed in any particular order.
Doing laundry without a washing machine can be tough. Thankfully our channel has lots of videos to help you get your appliance back up and running. We will be uploading videos on multiple brands for LG, Samsung, Whirlpool, Maytag, GE, and Beko. We also cover topics on washers, dryers, dishwashers, refrigerators, ranges, and microwaves. Be sure to check us out.

What blows my mind is the part ($50-$100) plus a technician labor to replace he states is right around buying a new one! That's insane!

@@revelationdetailers894 it’s one of the fatal flaws of the industry. Parts are expensive and machines are underpriced leading to a select few feeling the way you feel. Unfortunately it’s just part of the whole appliance industry.

Remember to theorghly inspect the striker and associated wiring. If all checks out you may need to replace your main control unit. It’s a good idea to have an issue like this properly diagnosed by a reputable appliance technician.

My washer will turn on and show a display but then there is a clicking sound and the display goes blank. It will continue to click after the display has gone blank. I have replaced the control board and it did not resolve the issue. What should I do next?

probably best to consult with a professional appliance repair technician in home for this one but in my professional opinion that sounds like an inverter control issue or wiring between the main control and inverter control.

I'm a bit frustrated with. my purchase. I've had this exact washer for 5 months and I noticed it makes a really high pitch sound after a load.... but yesterday it was making a squeaking noise while on the rinse cycle. It was loud enough for me to hear it halfway across the laundry room. The noise was similar to an ungreased gear or something. Definitely not a good sign, especially from a 5 month old machine!

Call GE have a service tech look at it. 5 months old should be under warranty.

I have one of these but it's blue. What a piece of crap it is. I remember back when washers were built to last, and they also did what they were supposed to.

Nothing is built to last anymore. Goes bad after warranty expires.....
