Been flight simming since 1983. For once in my flight sim life, there is not some huge issue hanging over my head. Like putting up with years of P3D random crash to desktop, lousy graphics, micro stutters, slow frame rates, constant fear of computer freezing, or mini fcu works, but not 100% compatible with Fenix. Now I’m in a ZEN state where everything just works perfectly. Such an absolute joy and satisfaction to fly the Fenix now.
Have been using the MiniFCU for a couple of weeks - absolutely no problems. Received a bit of a surprise today when a Fedex bill for £56.23 arrived to cover taxes and shipping - hadn't picked that up.
This is really cool. I was at a point, that I was only using mobiflight profiles. Now I got the problem with the A310, A300 and horizon sim products that I have to reflash :D
It's nice for those who don't want to bother install programs. i've tested it, but i keep using Mobiflight for these reasons: 3 times faster to launch, works now without Fenix quartz, can be minimized in taskbar, better effets when turning on the Fenix (accurate blinking), screens and buttons turn off when the program stops, still usable with any plane with profiles.
I‘ve been following the set-up process as shown in this video. So far, everything looks but I have not yet been able to test it in flight. What surprises me, however, already now is that the FCU lights up in the very moment I connect the USB cable to my computer, I.e. independent from whether MSFS is running or not, and even independent from whether the computer has been switched on or off 😮 Any ideas?
Only flying last night with some very strange large number showing above the HDG knob on my miniFCU. I think I may have heard a well known easyJet RUclipsr on ATC during that flight.
I cant get it work anymore :( previously i used the workarounfd with mobiflight and now i deinstalled mobiflight and updates the DLS of miniFCU but i didnt get green light in the DLS and the MiniFCU isnt showing anything... only lightning of mini FCU is on...
ok so had same problem .so i used the Mini cockpit firmware updater.i searched and found the port(it's in devices).then find the hex file.minicockpit.ino.hex(mine was in my download folder).press update and the MCDU should work.
@@andreasfuerst8591 I managed to reset the blank screens issue. As easyjectsimpilot mentioned in the previous setup tutorial for Mobiflight, simply navigate to the Mobiflight Modules in the Mobiflight software. Then, right click on the compatible module and select "reset board" from the menu to clear the board. After that, open the DLS (Data Link Software) required for miniCockpit, and the hardware detection light should turn green!
I have the mini FCU (Rec this week) and the latest Fenix update. All set up fine and controls work as expected. However soon after taking of alarms sound and error messages in the instrument display "Cab/press" and looks like "auto throttle limited". Aircraft clean config gear flaps etc. Ap/Auto throttle set on Mini FCU. Noticed with speed set it will often creep up higher or lower till overspeed or stall warning. Driving me mad!!! Any suggestions gratefully recieved.
Don't know if you have gotten any info on this yet, but the new Fenix A319 & A320 that released yesterday, the MiniFCU works fine with the A319 but not the A321. Have you heard anything about this issue or a fix? Thanks!
@@Easyjetsimpilot Agree. I just wanted to make sure my assumption was correct that an update will come soon. Same with GSX and the passenger seating feature.
This update seems to have broken both the Fenix and FBW add ons for me. When I load into the flight deck with the mini fcu connected, nothing works - I can't power up the plane and all the buttons and knobs are unresposive. The Fenix app is definitely running. Same thing happens with the FBW. Anyone else having these problems? Everything worked fine with Mobiflight before.
Hi Easyjetsimpilot! Love your videos. I followed the process you explained in this video, but my miniFCU still needs Mobiflight and FenixQuartz to work with the Fenix A320. Any ideas??
I just got my MiniFCU and with the latest drivers as mentioned it supports the Fenix A320 out of the box. How do I get it working with other aircraft? I know the functionality may be limited but I thought it was supposed to work with other aircraft.
You would need to use MobiFlight. Check out the video here on the channel that shows you how to get the unit working with the Fenix A320 (before it worked out of the box!)
@@Easyjetsimpilot Thank you Gavin I will check that out, my only concern is that is this going to mess up the "Out of the box" functionality wit the Fenix?
Hi Gavin, my MiniFCU is scheduled for delivery next month. Do you know if it will be supplied in a Fenix compatible state or will I need to update the software as shown in your video?
Provided the quality is good, Winwing have blown Minifcu out of water in terms of value. They have a known track record, and £133 for a full size FCU (£103 early bird pre order currently available) is a cracking price!! I was teetering on the edge of buying mini but I’m so glad I waited. For the same price as mini FCU I’ll most likely get two components of the glare shield (assuming pricing is similar and hoping they might offer an early bird price again) from winwing. Not saying it’s been a cash grab, but winwing are able to produce at quantity which will bring it to the masses at more competitive pricing. Whichever way people choose to vote with their wallets, it’s a great time for flight sim having more options is really good for development of products!

Of course lol….now that they can display everything. It’s a win for the Flight Sim community as a whole that they did this.

You need to reset the board within Mobiflight. Just watch his tutorial video again starting at 8:45.

Sounds like you need to reset the MiniFCU hardware unit.

Mine doesn't work after using the old method.

It is the driver that makes it compatible, not the unit, so you'll still need to download the driver.
its not a hardware issue, its a software issue. Download the latest software and youll be fine.

It will normally be delivered with the latest firmware, you'll just have to install the software and launch it before a flight
