After 35 years as an airline pilot, now retired, there was one sound for some reason i can't explain, that stands out among all others and that is the sound of the flight attendants in the forward galley, as part of their pre-departure duties, furiously chopping away at big blocks of ice to make smaller chunks for the beverage cart. Quite interesting, but the price is ridiculous. There are many addons that are much more advanced, i.e. they require a lot more work from the developer, but they cost similarly or less. Fun fact, 1 month of World of Warcraft subscription costs the same.
While I can, and do, accept some subscription based addons, its going to quickly get out of hand. By the time we pay for Navigraph, Say Intention, Cabby, and any others coming along, its going to be $100 per month.
A nice program all and all, but 35 USD is a bit of a steep instep market. It would be worth it if you get all the features with a one time purchase. However, it has another subscription of 15 USD a month, which gives you the premium features. That just makes it too expensive to justify the purchase, and not worth it to buy the base package (for now) imo. People don't want more subscriptions, we want to own the piece of software. And if you're going to use subscriptions make it a 2 to 3 dollar one for programs like these. I don't see anyone wanting to pay more for a program like this, than for their monthly Netflix subscription. Or, in a flightsim case, a Navigraph subscription.

Good program but Cabby as a company is a disgrace. The main reason people want this would be to record their own voice. They know this and want to slog you an additional big hit every month for the privilage.
I have just watched the video again and it is totally misleading! You need to know that you CANNOT record your own or any other voice unless you subscribe! Similarly, you DO NOT HAVE ACCESS to the community voices unless you subscribe. You will be limited to 5 American voices (2 male and 3 female). The second languages are limited to 5 European languages. So if you are flying in the Far East or India, tough luck! The actual announcements are not even close to being as clear as Gavin’s video suggests. Right now, I could not recommend this software. Gavin’s video (which uses subscription voices only) makes it out to be way better than it actually is.
Please watch the entire video again. All the differences between the platform options are explained and even shown with a graphic to compare the 2 options. The clarity of the voices and filters being used are also explained.
@@EasyjetsimpilotHi Gavin. I have watched the video again and I stand by my comments. Sorry. The graphic does, indeed, show the difference between the base product and the monthly subscription add on. However, what I found to be misleading is that you do not explain that recording your voice or using the community voices is only available if you subscribe. You do not make it clear that your demonstration is of the subscription version and NOT the base product. I contrast this with your demonstration of both base product and enhanced voices for Beyond ATC. Generally I really enjoy and value your videos and expertise but on this occasion we will have to agree to disagree (although I hope that this product will improve in time).
@@Drmerlin604 it should do. It is very early in the development and the dev has already said they're going to 'clean up' the audio when you are inside the aircraft so it wont be as muffled. This and a host of other features are planned.

The 5 American voices (yes that is the entire range unless you are prepared to subscribe) are so muffled as to be 100% incomprehensible! Announcements trigger at odd times or sometimes do not trigger at all. Whilst I am sure that this software will improve, the IMHO it is NOT even close to being worth the price of the base package. Perhaps it is better if you are prepared to pay the very expensive subscription as demonstrated in the video but as a base package it is more than inadequate.

@@EasyjetsimpilotI am sure that you are right. The basic idea is excellent. I am just a little surprised that it has been released a bit prematurely.
@@Drmerlin604 There is no reasoning with Easyjet now, he sold out to this developer on this poor expensive addon to entice his loyal fan base. Really a shame he duped this low. I am looking forward to what Easyjet will try and push us to buy next.
My testing of this is rubbish. I get better results using default fenix
Ridiculously priced. we can still have free cabin crew from Air tool and its real voices
I managed to install Cabby on my full-sized 737 sim.
It is appallingly bad!
Fascinating but will bide my time for a few months or more as it eventually will be offered much less
I think to pricey and does not have very realistic sound effects
