@Nyruami FSX is complete now ? It is still a big mess of a sim. Microsoft ditched the game 2 years after its release, and no 3rd party overcame the major issues of FSX in that decade: dated graphical engine, crappy flight model, robotic atc and traffic, poor performance and newer hardware. You need the main dev of the sim to develop core features. Addons can only go so far ... And MSFS only fixed the graphics of FSX and the global scenery. The rest is still lacking.
This is going to be one of the ground-breaking addons for MSFS and it's future, Asobo should be reaching out to you guys for a partnership, cannot wait for this product!
i saw the whole video speechless... so smart way to work out a real mess of a problem. You are genius at work. If there would be an Oscar for innovative programming, you deserve it. Thank you guys for BeyondATC, the incoming wonder.
Great progress! Looking forward to its final release. Super exciting you guys are going BEYOND ATC (See what I did... I'll be here all week!) to enhance the overall experience. You guys will be the 1st to bring something of this magnitude to the flight sim community.
I'm really hopeful that this product finally delivers us decent ATC and traffic injection without the need for live services. What you've shared here shows great promise. Looking forward to trying it out.
Oh my goodness!!! The amount of work and effort you have put into this program is incredible. I'm amazed, speechless, excited, and looking forward to the day to include it in my swimming experience. Truly well done!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I'm really impressed with what you've accomplished here. My jaw literally drops open. You're taking the word "beyond" to the next level. I'm very curious to see what else you can accomplish with, for example, pushback, aircraft wingspan to prevent wing collisions, etc. But I am convinced that you will accomplish everything. It takes time and take that time so that it becomes the number 1 in ATC and beyond-tool. Many compliments and good luck with the development. You already have me as a customer.
Bloody awsome. Back in the day I was a member of the Radar Contact (RC) beta-team (ATC for FSX). All RC4 did was stopping/starting AI aircraft to prevent "crash" (and deleting aircraft that got stuck for more then X seconds). For RC5 there were plans for more interaction, but the project got scrapped for personal reasons. In my view ATC will only "work" if/when controlling the AI-traffic, and this really seams like a game changer. Good job guys !!!
I'm very impressed. Not only will it be a great product that many people are waiting for, but the creators of Beyond ATC show something that is unfortunately not obvious today: that the product should be completed and thoroughly tested before it hits the market. Again.. I'm so impressed!
A huge milestone for you guys? I think a huge milestone for the simulation industry! This is a simulation within a simulation, a complete AI traffic ecosystem. Jawdropping! thank you for sharing the progress!
Just wow!! Very impressive and very nice to see the backend. Much respect for the work done! This will be the must-have addon and hoping for a release soon!
It's amazing what you have already achieved, it is truly incredible, a lot of respect for this and we are eagerly waiting to see what the continuation of this first look will be. Goodluck.
It is Beyond clever and Beyond exciting. This is probably the most important software and that is the most eagerly awaited for MSFS. It is for me anyway. Thank you for the update. Incredible.
Player???? Player?!?!?!? We're Simmers, Mister, and don't you forget it! 😉This pla....simmer loves seeing how things are coming along. Outstanding work!
Very very excited too. I can't wait for this.......but fully appreciate the need to as all good things come to those who wait! Well done guys.....amazing passion and efforts.
Appreciate this update. Fascinating and indeed, I would say necessary, so that all good simmers have an understanding of the complexities of this kind of development and ultimately, it brings us a product that creates immersion, and fun in our simulator. Yup its all about the detail in the end. Thank you for your good work.
This is astonishing. Getting to the point where I'm waiting for the folks at Heathrow, JFK or Changi to contact you to help them with traffic optimisation 😆
Absolutely brilliant! You are picking up a ball that flight sim development from the FS/FSX days has left sitting on the ground and running to the future with it! Thank You! It sounds like this approach can cure long-standing headaches like taxi speed, runway speed, stuck aircraft, etc. It also sounds like this is will impact all airports equally, large commercial and GA. Will it be the case that a user can give B-ATC access to their own collection of AI-ready models, GA or Airliner, and let it use them all by type based on whatever instructs the injection? WAY beyond ATC. I’m your customer already!
Looks really nice so far! - all the aircraft starting from the gate are leaving nose first - I'm assuming the model will eventually account for pushing back and engine start? Solving for KSFO will be the benchmark for AI traffic, I think, - parallel landings on the 28s and parallel takeoffs on the 01s, all sequenced. Getting AI planes on and off the runway much faster will be such an improvement + not allowing AI planes onto the runway when the player is on short final ;) A blend of Live traffic and scheduled traffic would be really nice - Live for aircraft movements, scheduled for static planes at the gates - so you don't have empty airports with planes just spawning in as they're moving...
I hope you guys can get the animations for flaps, spoilers, reversers all working properly. Even having realistic landing gear loading/compression and unloading would be amazing as the airplanes land and takeoff. Perhaps even the odd runway excursion or engine fire on the AI aircraft? Perhaps emergency vehicles scrambling to an aircraft? The possibilities are endless!
Astonishing! Im very impressed. However, there is one thing that I've never seen well done by any traffic until nowadays, which is: the airplane's lift off and touch down animations. There is no rotation on take offs, no flares and no de rotarion on landings. Do you guys bear that in mind? Are you guys planning to make it real? Anyways, great job and thanks for all the effort.
Man I can’t wait for this. I don’t like vatsim cuz I’m always too nervous about it. But with this, I can relax and take my time while enjoying a realistic atc.
This wonderful tool is mind blowing❗️👍🏼☝🏼Fantastic work you have done already! And showing us how it works all behind is very interesting. I really hope you will have a great success with it. I am looking forward to get this program! All the best to you, Bo 🇨🇭
Wow! I have a monster computer and once I load into Inibuilds KLAX and get traffic going it’s still playable at 38-40 fps on a RTX 4090 and Ryzen 7900X3D but with this to not take such a giant hit with as much or more real life busy LAX traffic is such a needed upgrade for those of us trying to get that realistic airliner environment! Just wow, can’t wait
This is ground breaking stuff! What I would love to see (and hear!) are those times when things don't go as planned. Such as diversions due to weather (not uncommon in the UK!). Would ATC accept an unplanned arrival? Or Mayday or Pan calls. Could the AI work out what procedure to follow to enable a safe vector for an emergency through existing traffic? These sorts of scenarios would make this already great software truly awesome!
Great work! It’s exciting to see your own passion and excitement in the videos. I do have a question, maybe it’s been answered or maybe I missed it. One of my favorite parts about MSFS 2020 is seeing the real life flights in flight, is that something that will remain using beyondATC or will it be randomized?
Just discovering this program now. I'm a controller on VATSIM and I fly on VATSIM as well but this will be great when I'm too anxious to deal with people or when controllers aren't online where I want to fly
Thats very impressive. I have couple of questions: 1. If you are managing aircraft can there be user customization such as which airlines go to which terminals, AI airline schedules based on (psuedo?) real world? 2. Can this be made across different sim platforms ? 3. Can you also simulate departing slot time for the user player ? If we contact tower late requesting to taxi, ground tower will tell us to wait another 5 mins till things clear out ? :) Also please consider to include taxiing to de-icing pads in winter times :)
I work at Unity and I think it is so cool that you are using the engine for this very different use case. I'd love to chat more about it if you are amenable!
Beyond ATC indeed, you are Amazing! You Guys rock and I like your way of thinking! Have you thought about injecting your own ground traffic? And If you could offer the complete passenger experience Beyond GSX and even it it was a separate addon that would be truly awesome!
If you all can combine this traffic system, IFR controllers, AND proper VFR comms (airspace requests, flight following, etc) then this will definitely be shelving Pilot2ATC
As a long time FSHud user I'm seeing good things from you guys. Will keep my eyes on it and will probably switch when you finally release this as a finished product.
Outstanding! Please, please, please apply this engine to ground traffic as well - saw a couple of times in the video where the MS truck blithely went head-on into the traffic on the taxiway - guaranteed immersion killer. No issue with it sold as an additional module - money well spent imo.
