I bought a 2014 Juke Nismo RS with the 6 speed manual. I love it, it is fun to drive 215 horsepower in a car it's size makes it fun! The seats in the RS hold you nicely in place. In the beginning the only thing I changed was I replaced the springs with Eibach springs just to lower it a little and also added front and rear strut bars and the handling became so much better and more responsive, here in Greece our roads have many turns and handling is very important. One year later I decided I wanted more power and with some slight modifications, such as a bigger turbo, bigger injectors, front mount intercooler, stand alone system, cold air intake and a performance exhaust system my RS on the dyno pushed 306 horsepower at the wheels at only 12psi boost which is what I use for daily driving. At 18psi im sure I'd be well over 350 but just over 300 horsepower is enough to shock many unsuspecting cars on the road while keeping my car reliable.... Anytime you start pushing closer to 400 horsepower in a 4 cylinder you're starting to gamble with the reliability, I know because my previous daily driver is a Nissan 200sx S13 I had a SR20det under the hood that pushed 488 horsepower, I was in the shop almost every month getting something replaced or fixed or tuned, now I use it only as my track car and I replaced the SR20det with an RB25det. I bought the juke because I needed something more practical and preferably a 4 door. I wasn't going to do any modifications but horsepower is an addiction with no cure.
Overall if you buy a Juke get the Nismo RS, I've driven regular Jukes and they are not as fun.
The cons of the Juke, if you're over 5'7 back seats are useless, cargo space in the truck is minimal, a sunroof is not an option for the RS, heated seats is not an option for the RS, fuel mileage isn't the greatest for a 1.6L, even before I did any modifications, the fuel mileage wasn't as great but then again I would only drive it in sport mode and I drive aggressively. The worst part about the Juke is that you can't get the AWD in a 6 speed manual, only in automatic. The manual only comes in a FWD which is what I chose. I'd rather have manual instead of AWD. I took an automatic AWD juke for a test drive just to see the difference and it felt like a complete different car, the automatic CVT Transmission takes the fun out of it and it makes it feel sluggish and slow.
If you're thinking of buying a Nismo RS do it! You won't regret it! And due to their rarity they hold their resale value very well compared to other cars in the same category.

      Hello my friend ^^
I bought a nismo rs and i agree with you !! It's a beautiful and fun car , underestimated by some peuple..
What are exactly the mods you have on your RS ? From exemple the exhaust?? Brand? Catback or all? Decata ?
About Springs? Eibach -15 , it is that ?
      Thank you !!
      For fun / émotion/ passion :))

anyone thinking of buying one should buy one. honestly one of the funnest cars i have ever owned. This car was perfect for me. i wanted a sporty 4 door car, with seats that fold down flat to put my drum set into. with the seats down, one can fit a lot of things into it.

Honestly love my Juke Nismo Rs. My first Juke was the 2011 SV. Then I Upgraded to the 2015 Nismo RS. I totally see myself getting a third... I love being on the road with my whip and have people COMPLETELY underestimate this car....or is it ME they underestimate...? Lol

PrecyleeBambao same! I absolutely love my nismo rs especially as I have not seen another one on the roads here in London, everyone else seems to have normal Juke. People call this car ugly but I like that its different and quirky, even my husband likes it and he is an audi/merc snob

I can't figure why anyone would give up a Porsche and drive a Juke. It's not fast at all. But they are really cheap used. They depreciate worse than chevys. You should drive an Audi those are amazing cars.

Jaxxon Audi depreciates quite quickly and depending on the 1999 porche model it the porche it was probably a piece of crap that broke down all the time. Sometimes reliability replaces a name.

Hi there from down under. Liked your review but wondered why you werent in a 4WD. Not sure what the RS means, but we may get the Nismo in the middle of the year, and it could be AU$45,000+ !! I looked at the non Nismo 4WD Juke to buy but struck it off my list. It got a bit of a bagging in Aust.....way too little vehicle for way too much money, painted plastics, acres of cheap plastic, and a real paucity of room in the rear, both headroom and knee room. And the boot?? Good for one decent suitcase, and supposedly 5 seats.I may be wrong but think it's got a crappy cheap beam axle on the rear. I have my fingers crossed that Suzuki will import the Swift Sport 4WD, it's available elsewhere in the world. That car also really hit the mark here, so popular they created a one-make race series for them. Slightly less power, but you can get a 7 speed CVT model, with paddle shifters! It's hard to equate the Juke Nismo as being from the same company that gave us the sublime awesome GT-R. Cheers

2wd (front) is manual, 4wd comes only with an auto box, and the box goes after about 30/40k miles

The base models are not the best, and I dislike them. There is no middle ground about this car, mostly because theres nothing like it on the road. You either love it or hate it, I happen to love the Nismo and RS models only tho.

Where can I find an aggressive muffler for my 2014 juke nismo rs awd?

    • @kseifful
      @kseifful 8 лет назад

Stillin makes one that gives it one of the best sounds for a 4 cylinder. Since none of the mechanical parts have actually been changed from the normal AWD Jukes and the Nismo ones, the muffler they make should fit it

Also the back seats ARE NOT SUEDE they cheated and made them a suede like material but they are not even close to leather. So they lie about that there is only suede on the Ricario seats and steering wheel.

You're right, everyone will look at your car, but they'll be squinting, wondering what sort of visual impairment the designer had when designing it.

I test drove this shit box and it's a nightmare to drive in manual. It's not fast AT ALL. You basically have to redline this in order to get 215 hp. I've been spoiled by Audi anything less than a Volkswagen and it feels like garbage to me so maybe my opinion is bias. But it is most definitely NOT worth $28-$32 take that money and get a VW Golf R with almost 300hp stock :/
