@@cosmic_gate476 Absolutely! And just because it's the A10 doesn't mean it doesn't take a semi skilled driver to launch. It's tricky with rwd and V8 or anything with low down torque. The 5.0, while a top end monster compared to pushrod V8's still has a lot of torque.
the nismo sounds Insane! that mustang sounds like a garden tractor, at least to my ears... The current breed of stangs sound so different from the early ,say 2003 ones... Ive heard some sweet sounding ones from that era but the latest ones, OMG they sound not like anything I'd want to hear in the drivers seat....
Sam clearly doesn't know how to drive the Mustang. You're supposed to put it in Manual Mode, reach the desired roll race speed, floor it, switch the transmission to Drive, and let the computer take over. This way, it will maintain peak power throughout the shifts.
@chrisgonzales6696 It's the same engine that's in the Q50. The only reason the Z beat the GT is its weight, and Sam, not knowing how to roll race properly, doesn't help the GT either.

This is the Japanese engineering made it well its not in the horsepower and tourq numbers its engineering play Games and planing and designing to make it faster with lowest numbers , the horsepower numbers just for marketing

I'm literally a Nissan and Z fanboy. Have owned multiple Z32 TT's and currently have a built R32 GTR. This video however, is staged 100%. I'm sorry but unless there's an issue with that Mustang, it should be more competitive, ESPECIALLY in the roll races. Clearly the Mustang has a disadvantage over the Z if you drive it in auto mode since it shifts way too early to put the maximum torque and power while the Z reaches already peak torque. The solution is to Race Both in manual and sport mode. No one does a drag and rolling race in auto mode with a mustang

I’ve always played with the thought of buying a mustang, but every time I give them a chance with a test drive, it’s the same result. They never hookup, and they’re all over the place. It’s so ridiculous that after all these years, they still haven’t addressed the suspension issues. 🤦🏻♂️
I have a fbo 16 with a complete BMR set up in the rear. It's real good. I've beat so many AWD cars in the 8th. They jump out on me, and I run past them in 3rd and walk in 4th.
Cause every race you can see the mustang reeling in, Mustang is clearly faster, they trap way higher that's way he didn't put trap speed on the 1/4 mile times. The Z driver is going all out off the line, Sam is taking off at idle and spinning and the Stang short shifts...then it's a chase, and you can't make up for that bad start in just 1/4 Mile.
It’s really just that there’s a lot of these cars racing eachother already on RUclips and this is the only one (at least that I’ve seen) where the Z wins. Testing times from many reputable car magazines have the mustang around .7 seconds faster in the quarter mile than the nismo Z. it’s not about fan this fan that. These cars are tested over and over gain you can google the info yourself. It’s strange I think that’s what people are saying
Don't be a fanboy bro. Clearly these weren't the best runs for the mustang. But winning is winning. Nissan got smart and put some good tires on the nismo like they should have from the beginning.

Nismo is definitely underrated by dealer. Love it when they do that, still love the feel of the mustang pure engine in the GT form. It would be interesting to see how the Nissan Z Nismo stacks up against the Camaro SS, 1LE.
You are so correct about the Mustang not hooking up. I totaled mine out the first time I tried a launch out in our country roads. Straight and flat and it immediately kicked the reared out to the right and spun me in a ditch. 1832 miles on the odometer
Deff a promotion video for the Nismo, I have a 2000 Camaro SS with a little more HP than the mustang and I leave cars like that in the dust. The only thing those cars have over me is faster acceleration off the line. The torque from a V8 at speed is untouchable
How I look at it is this: the z is clapped out. The mustang gt can take a bunch more hp by boost. It’s a no brainier. And i don’t know why they would compare a twin turbo vehicle against a naturally aspirated engine. Let’s put a twin turbo on the mustang and see the results.

@@SSH939 the engine is not a VQ what so ever. Smaller displacement, GDI vs PDI, forced induction vs NA thus compression ratio is different. Smaller bore and head design has no resemblance. That being said, the Z hasn’t been around for very long. Yes, the motor has been around for longer, but before then companies didn’t care to support it just like the 340’s. It wasn’t until the Supra was released for the B58 to start getting support. Unfortunately, most people have less funds right now and interest rates are high. It doesn’t make sense to buy a car. When they do you will see them more often. Give it some time. In conclusion, Nissan released this car at the worse possible time after Covid, but hey they played the cards they were dealt.
Biggest different from older Zs is the new 1.5 diff, the nismo maybe a little more aggressive tuning but the suspension is also so much stiffer, so it brings more power to the car in general on delivery.
For me I take the Mustang with the 5.0L Coyote V8 in it over the Z with the 3.0L Twin Turbo V6 not only because of sound, charm, and character but also since the Z has twin turbos its obviously not going to last as long as the Mustang GT with the 5.0L Coyote V8 in it, don't believe me then go watch Scotty Kilmer and he'll tell you the real truth about turbo engines ingeneral and yes I have a 2024 Nissan Titan with the 5.6L Endurance V8 in it with 400 HP and 413 Ibs of Torque and no turbos as well as no cylinder deactivation.

Lol really? So I've got vast amounts of experience with both vehicles ironically. I rent out vehicles on Turo. I have 3 g37s convertibles. The transmissions are absolutely perfect and one of them has a 160,000 mi Now the construction company that I run lmao.... Remember COVID remember how you couldn't get vehicles. Just my luck Ford had a fleet program 😂. We ended up with seven Ford rangers. Six of them have had transmission problems and not a single one has over 50,000 miles. 😂😂😂😂. I mean those things are absolute garbage. I cannot believe that they passed production. If you look it up it is absolutely terrible. I am not the only one with this experience. Every time I go in there I meet a new group of people who have a new found hatred for the Ford 10 speed.
@@chriscotton4207 I'll give you that on the Ranger version. However that's a different version, the 10R60. The Mustang here has the 10R80 and they're strong but I believe the issue is poor tuning, not the transmission.

Better comparison would have been a LT-1 Camaro with a 10 speed automatic verses the Nismo Z automatic. The Mustang GT is no match for either. The new Z is a beautiful car inside and out but the Camaro is still the best bang for the buck period.
It should be considered in the next videos to change the driver, so each driver can try both cars and take out the driver factor of the equation.

Sam got these mustang fans mad lol. Yall keep bringing up the short shift in ONE race, so the other runs where the nismo won were rigged too huh lol.
Cause every race you can see the mustang reeling in, Mustang is clearly faster, they trap way higher that's way he didn't put trap speed on the 1/4 mile times. The Z driver is going all out off the line, Sam is taking off at idle and spinning and the Stang short shifts...then it's a chase, and you can't make up for that bad start in just 1/4 Mile.
It’s really just that there’s a lot of these cars racing eachother already on RUclips and this is the only one (at least that I’ve seen) where the Z wins. Testing times from many reputable car magazines have the mustang around .7 seconds faster in the quarter mile than the nismo Z. it’s not about fan this fan that. These cars are tested over and over gain you can google the info yourself. It’s strange I think that’s what people are saying
Don't be a fanboy bro. Clearly these weren't the best runs for the mustang. But winning is winning. Nissan got smart and put some good tires on the nismo like they should have from the beginning.

Nismo is definitely underrated by dealer. Love it when they do that, still love the feel of the mustang pure engine in the GT form. It would be interesting to see how the Nissan Z Nismo stacks up against the Camaro SS, 1LE.
You are so correct about the Mustang not hooking up. I totaled mine out the first time I tried a launch out in our country roads. Straight and flat and it immediately kicked the reared out to the right and spun me in a ditch. 1832 miles on the odometer

Deff a promotion video for the Nismo, I have a 2000 Camaro SS with a little more HP than the mustang and I leave cars like that in the dust. The only thing those cars have over me is faster acceleration off the line. The torque from a V8 at speed is untouchable

I'll refute. Yet to be seen on actual drag strip events. 2k, etc. Or even remotely competitive going up against b58s or coyotes. Less than 2 years? My wonderful guy... it's same vq engine that's tweaked a tad. It isn't some universally new engine. Same chassis/engine on a "new body".
@@SSH939 the engine is not a VQ what so ever. Smaller displacement, GDI vs PDI, forced induction vs NA thus compression ratio is different. Smaller bore and head design has no resemblance.
That being said, the Z hasn’t been around for very long. Yes, the motor has been around for longer, but before then companies didn’t care to support it just like the 340’s. It wasn’t until the Supra was released for the B58 to start getting support.
Unfortunately, most people have less funds right now and interest rates are high. It doesn’t make sense to buy a car. When they do you will see them more often. Give it some time.
In conclusion, Nissan released this car at the worse possible time after Covid, but hey they played the cards they were dealt.

Biggest different from older Zs is the new 1.5 diff, the nismo maybe a little more aggressive tuning but the suspension is also so much stiffer, so it brings more power to the car in general on delivery.
Like all American muscle cars, the Mustang is all show and no go!

For me I take the Mustang with the 5.0L Coyote V8 in it over the Z with the 3.0L Twin Turbo V6 not only because of sound, charm, and character but also since the Z has twin turbos its obviously not going to last as long as the Mustang GT with the 5.0L Coyote V8 in it, don't believe me then go watch Scotty Kilmer and he'll tell you the real truth about turbo engines ingeneral and yes I have a 2024 Nissan Titan with the 5.6L Endurance V8 in it with 400 HP and 413 Ibs of Torque and no turbos as well as no cylinder deactivation.

I rent out vehicles on Turo. I have 3 g37s convertibles. The transmissions are absolutely perfect and one of them has a 160,000 mi

Remember COVID remember how you couldn't get vehicles. Just my luck Ford had a fleet program 😂. We ended up with seven Ford rangers. Six of them have had transmission problems and not a single one has over 50,000 miles. 😂😂😂😂. I mean those things are absolute garbage. I cannot believe that they passed production. If you look it up it is absolutely terrible. I am not the only one with this experience. Every time I go in there I meet a new group of people who have a new found hatred for the Ford 10 speed.
@@chriscotton4207 I'll give you that on the Ranger version. However that's a different version, the 10R60. The Mustang here has the 10R80 and they're strong but I believe the issue is poor tuning, not the transmission.

Weight and horsepower are important factors. The Z just has a perfect balance. I still have respect and love for the Mustang.
The Mustang has a better weight to hp ratio. Something fishy going on here.
Better comparison would have been a LT-1 Camaro with a 10 speed automatic verses the Nismo Z automatic. The Mustang GT is no match for either. The new Z is a beautiful car inside and out but the Camaro is still the best bang for the buck period.
