From beginning right through century’s ZZ Top are extremely original, the sound is widely huge and powerfully rich, like the Royal Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Saint Trinity ZZ Top. (hopefully one day will listening you with the great symphony orchestra) Each note is always in the right place and sometimes beautifully shifted in time, showing that you really are human beings. Music is making me feel great over & over again. Actually ZZ Top never stops making America great again and again. Real story. I’ve been a big ZZ Top fan for a long time but never heard all their albums. Just popped in their Antenna album today, and when I heard it open with Pincushion, I immediately bought tickets to their upcoming Phoenix show. Cool song. 🎸
In my opinion Billy is one of the most underrated guitarists of all time and ZZ Top is one of the most underrated bands. Even Jimi Hendrix said that Billy is his favourite guitarist when ZZ Top played as a support before him.
Underrated? They’ve sold over 50 million records, have been named “Official Heroes of Texas” by the House of Representatives, have been given an official day of the month (May 4 is ZZ Top Day in Texas), they have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and have earned four gold - three platinum and two multi-platinum album certifications. By the way, ZZ Top never opened for Hendrix. Billy did that with his previous band, The Moving Sidewalks
