In this partimento, Furno teach us the the Rule of when the partimento decends by step and acends by step and its notes are slower than others.
When the partimento rtises by step, and the notes have greater time values than the other notes, one acompanies them with a 3rd and a 5th and then on the same note one moves to the 6th, which will hold to become the 5th of the subsequent note.
When the partimento falls by step, and the notes have greater time values than the other notes, one accompanies them with a 3rd and a 7th, and this 7th resolves to a 6th on the same note.
