- FIRST LOOK: THE Macan EV is here and Porsche wants to bring electrified performance in a SUV. On the outside the Turbo has a unique from facia, 21in wheels, and FULL LED lighting. On the inside you will be greeted by an interior that is wrapped in leather. Powering the Macan EV Turbo are (2) electric motors producing 630HP. Is the 2025 Porsche Macan Turbo EV a BETTER new performance SUV than a BMW iX M60?

This is because the Macan is Porsche's cheapest model.
Because it's for rich ppl that have more money than common sense. My 2024 telluride is just as good or if not better than any high end suv on the road.
It's not $190k. It's below $120k

Damn. I wish they could've made a hybrid version of the Macan. But you can't beat the future, I suppose.

Not an EV fan here; however, Porsche & Audi make the best/most gorgeous designed EVs. Love the wheels! Hate the stupid black painted side panel on all Macans 🤷🏻♂️ Make sure you tick the the colored side panels for about $900 when you order your Macan😫
Mine start production in August and delivery will be October! I’ve been waiting for the Macan EV ever since they announced it last year. Pretty stoked!

Would I trade in my macan gts for this? Yes. Would I regret my decision, probably…I’ve heard horror stories stories of recall after recall for Porsches electric cars
thats last generation though, you have to remember they’ve learned a lot since then

Just booked my Taycan 4S for service… heat doesn’t work, doors don’t unlock and 3rd recall! But it drives great!

Joe great video however I have zero reason to own an EV. I drove a Tesla S P85D for a year. It was Quick & fun for about 3-4 months and then I didn’t like it anymore; boring‼️
Sold it and got my wife an Audi S4!!! I never ever will desire an EV. I do like the 630 horsepower; however, and it looks great. I have driven several (ICE) Macans and they were wonderful cars. I used to tell friends that it would be the best daily driver if I didn’t have a Porsche Turbo S or Corvette Z06 or Mustang, 😆😝😜. Porsche may have jumped the gun by turning this vehicle to an EV instead of a hybrid. I have heard that the Boxster EV is gonna be fast. I am not an EV fan at all‼️‼️‼️😎 I look forward to your video when you drive it. I drove the Tacan and couldn’t wait to return it back to all the doom and gloom people of earth who believe the lie about global warming…. as it is supposed to snow tonight here in upstate New York on 1 April. EV sales are slowing down. Incentives are being reduced by States. No ICE could be a disastrous decision by Porsche. And this platform can’t be converted for ICE, so no going back on this decision. A hybrid solution would have been smarter, like the Cayenne.
Agree. Many are wisely jumping off this bandwagon.
I don’t think electrics are not the future. I do think they need to slow down the inevitable a lot until the public becomes comfortable with EVs, as well as the charging infrastructure to be more solidly in place. Many people are still afraid of electrics and not quite ready.
The biggest issue in EV are depreciation and the worry about battery warranty and battery replacement cost. For example my parents bought audi e-tron 2019 with +80k and now its worth 30k at most. You are going to lose a lot of money with EV when you sell it.

As always, outstanding get-together discussion. I have been a Porsche, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz enthusiast for over 4 decades. I have had my share of Ferraris, of which I still own 3, Aston Martins, Range Rovers, and Jaguars to name a few.
Just like you gentlemen, I have been blessed to be able to purchase any car I want. But to be honest with you, I am not too enthusiastic to pay high prices for some of these cars nowadays. I had a Porsche Taycan and I lost a lot of money. It was horrible. To make matters worse, for 2024/2025 MY, Porsche has increased the price. Why? The used Taycan inventory is out of control, there are still thousands of new 2023 and 2024 MY left in their inventories, and in my opinion, people will walk away. My daughter “was” interested in the new 2025 Porsche Macan. While this car is new, the dealer was not interested in making any deals, given that I have purchased 10 Porsche from them within the last 14 years.
Regardless of brand, these companies are out of control with their process, most have awful lease programs, and they wonder what they are not selling. With extremely high prices and significant short-term depreciation, I am not going to spend money anymore, even though I can. Numbers don’t speak to me anymore. It has become corporate greed.

Yall need to understand that EVs ARE the future. You can’t escape it. It’s gotta happen. Get used to it!
I agree to an extent, but the public isn’t quite ready. The charging infrastructure needs to be more solid. Once that happens, you’ll hear more positive stories about road trips about charging which will drive word of mouth, the positive news published about owning an EV, etc. Hearing dreadful and awful stories of Tesla owners piling up at charging stations in the dead of below zero winter weather running out of juice waiting in a long line to get charged doesn’t help that narrative exactly.
Brands are selling their hatchbacks in the name of small suvs by which they are not only gaining benefits in selling no’s, but also charging premium price over sedans.

This is one of the most attractive EVs to date. None of that awkward body paneling or 1-piece plastic look. Great review, as always Joe.
Really digging it, though def would look better if it had a rear spoiler especially with the ICE version in the background showing so.

This is going to be a fast and fun to drive performance crossover from Porsche. The high instant torque means it will rip of the line. Throttle response will be excellent like all EVs.
Porsche already has a lot of pre-orders so overall sales will be strong.

@@RaitisRidesThey literally even have the EXACT same black lower side moldings. Main difference is the Macan is a CUV and the Crown is a ‘taller’ sedan. There’s not much difference aside from the clear bar light instead of red that the crown uses.

I think Audi A6, on this platform, handled the back end better. This ones a little bulbous on the rear but it might be for aero, that's really important on EVs.
Looks better in video than in person. I was (surprisingly) disappointed when I got to the show. The CE Macan (especially the gts) is a better looker. I may still get one though because I’m over going to the pump.

The Macan EV is not as good-looking as the Q6 EV. In my opinion, the Macan's rear design can be improved.

By name I'm scratching my head (Turbo?) because it would make more sense to me as a car fanatic if you just call (EX: E-sport) or something like that.
Or how about 4, S and GTS. Not sure why they decided to call it turbo and not GTS which was top spec of ICE macan.

No matter what these EV‘s can do, they still are electric, therefore, not at all exciting for car fans like me 😢

Its no excuse why certain features shouldn't be in cars for this price point.....and WHAT IS WITH THESE CARGO NETS OR NONE AT ALL...its so cheap and unappealing to me...give me a nice leather back pocket on both sides.

that interior looks like it belongs in a 30g car. plain boring and sticking a couple of tablets in there to get the job done at minimum cost. Porsche used to have one of the most unique and beautiful interiors. this is just awful
