Thank you! Yes it is definitely a lot of work! When I first got a pool I didn’t even know a pool required all of these things! I thought it was just as simple as adding water and chlorine that’s it lol
You don’t have to use tablets, that’s just what we had on hand. You can use chlorine in granular form or liquid. Also to keep the pool sparkling clean, free from bacteria/ algae you need to at least have chlorine, shock and algaecide (on a weekly basis)(that’s what HTH & Clorox pools recommends)you may need more it all depends on what your pool needs when you test it. When I first got my pool i didn’t think there was so much that was needed to keep it clean. I thought you just added water and chlorine and that’s it. I had to learn the hard way lol Hope this helps
Sure no problem, it does get easier the longer you have it. Like even after 3 years I’ve learned so much about owning/maintaining my pool. You got this!
So most times on cleaning day we’ll do it Sunday late afternoon /evening after we’re done swimming. Or we’ll do it on like a Monday when we’re not swimming that day. If it’s something like adding chlorine in the morning, or some other type of chemical, it usually says on the back of the bottle that it’s safe to swim again in like a hour or so ( depends on the product) but that’s how we do it
Yeah It’s not as easy as I thought it would be when I first got it. But it’s really not that bad once you get the hang of it. If your water is already balanced then you only really need chlorine, shock and algaecide on a weekly basis.
Thank you so much for uploading this video. Very helpful 🙏
Thank you for watching!
That is very helpful! Made me realize that is way too much work for me though. I think we'll just stick with the kiddie pools lol

We just bought the same 18 ft pool. You just vacuum and level the chemicals once a week?
Yes! Or sometimes more often if needed

Hi I have the same pool and size. Do you keep your ladder in the pool at all times or only when you swim?
We would keep it in only when swimming because we would usually put our cover on to keep it free from debris and warm up the water
Do you have to add the tablets? And do you have to add all the stuff or can you just add the tablets
