I bought an after market grill from FB market place w/ tss cover and black badging overlays for $125, paid an extra $25 from KOK for different letters and it looks mint, we’ll see in a few years.
I had a knock off TRD Pro grille sold by several different vendors, the problem with it was water spots, it was very hard to remove water spots even from just moving dew. I ended up buying the OEM TRD Pro grille and the quality is higher and water spots are no longer a problem, I also bit the bullet and bought the OEM TSS garnish cover and there is a difference between the OEM garnish and the aftermarket garnish.
@@larrydavis6976 I bought the grill from a Toyota dealer in Long Beach California, I want to say the garnish I bought from a Toyota dealer out of Florida, I don't remember which one.
@@larrydavis6976 I just pulled both of them up they were both purchased from Manhattan Beach Toyota in California. The garnish is way over priced but if you want OEM you have to pay.
Sorry to hear about your experience with Taco Vinyl. Seems like you handled it well and I would have been frustrated too, probably even more so. I purchased my TRD Pro Grille from them and had a great experience. It only took one week to arrive and everything was packaged well. But note I did NOT get the camera mount. Thanks for making this video!
Yeah, I just did not feel like it was a very good experience for me. And from what I see in the Tacoma Facebook groups, I’m not the only person having these experiences.
Just bought the same grill with the lights from Amazon for $165, that's with shipping to HI. Came with the add a fuse as well took about 30 minutes to completely install, easy and looks great.
