Hi, do your graphics come reversed or do I have to do do that, I'm not tech savvy, thanks ... Love your channel BTW
Hi there sorry just seeing this reply now. Yes, every file has a reverse image for you to use so you don’t have to worry about learning how to flip it. Sorry for the delay.
When I worked in the lunch room of the school, I frequently had large cans. Good place to get some!
Great idea thanks for sharing
I recently found that a 14 oz can fits neatly over a chain link fence post. I’ve glued a pie plate on top and these are my bird feeders. Since the pie tins are metal, I can create suet in them with lard of any type. The birds appreciate the extra food in the winter. I’m making wood ones from scraps we have this year and using a gelatin based suet with a bread baking dish.
What a great idea. Thanks for sharing.
Love this so much! ❤
I don't know if all of her videos are like this, but what I appreciate about THIS video is that, although there are some projects that are above my skill level, made with tools/machinery that I don't have (and can't afford), and made with materials that I would have to go out and buy, there are also a few simple projects that are made with things most beginner crafting enthusiasts have around the house already. I REALLY appreciate that variety!
Glad you enjoyed ❤️
I have seen artists use a mallet or hammer to do this crimping for the cans. It works beautifully!!!
Great idea!
More like 4 or 5 'upcycles' - 1.plant pots (ad infinitum) 2.stationary tools holder 3.refuse-bag dispenser (excellent, unique idea, used the plastic lid too!) 4. candle jar (might improve safety by adding feet) 5.container for odds and ends - with 3 or 4 decorative methods centered around different materials used for trim and the transfer of text or graphics, via 3 conversions; 1.crimping one end 2. paint and decorate, attach or stack 3. create aperture for dispenser. I'm not saying it's bad. Pls don't be upset that I didn't fawn and gush. The Dispenser is the 'genius idea', the others are variations on solid basics IMHO
I'll be using the dispenser idea. Thank You!
Thank you Deidre for this video. I hate throwing cans out. You always have the best ideas.
Thanks for watching. Glad you enjoyed.
I can't pick a favorite... I love them all. I already use tin cans with holes on bottom to repot plants, but now I will add a coffee filter on the inside bottom to keep from losing dirt and making a mess! You are simply amazing!!!
Yes, that works great
Hello please when you plant flowers inside, are you puting special painting to avoid rust?? Thanks a lot 💐
Lids as a pedestal, brilliant!
They work great
Try using your hand can opener on the top of the lid instead of the side to remove it. The lid will come off flawlessly, leaving no sharp edges😲🤔😁( I just recently learned this after 50 years of using a can opener incorrectly). Try it, so much easier.
Yes this works perfect!
Hi Deidre! It’s hard to pick a favorite one. I like them all! I’ve got a bunch of cans I needs to upcycle. Good inspiration, thanks!
❤️💜💚
You are so welcome
Tired of watching can projects? NEVER! 😅
More too come!!❤️
Me neither!!!❤😂
Nope! I'm back watching this one again...bc This is what I'm doing today. So fun & endless ideas!😍
I would like to go from just watching to actually DOING, though.
😂👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
You are so creative and lovely 😊 how do you manage to get every project to beautifully blend in and match your furniture and other surrounding rooms? I really love the decoupage tuna cans and scrap paper, but those little pocket planters, in my opinion are the best! Especially the fabric you used!
Thank you so much 😊
The shovel handle planter was my favorite, well one of my favorites. These are really clever. ❤
Glad you like them!
Thank you. What great inspiration.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for doing a true; trash to treasure! May Jesus continue to bless you and your family

Amen 🙏

Me too. Thanks for watching Beth
So many ideas! Ive been saving some cans for about a year now but not done any upcycles with them yet. Thanks so much for sharing all these ideas. I especially love the hanging container idea for live plants!
Glad it was helpful!
You have so many more ideas 4 using recycled cans than I knew of. Fantastic projects that I will try some of. I've done the crushed one and put floral in it. I've used things like frozen OJ 4 pencil holders way back in the 60's and 70's. This is an old craft but new ideas. Thanks 4 sharing and advising us to b mindful of the waste that can b used to do good and help our earth.
Wonderful!
Loved all your ideas. I actually have a can opener that works differently than the kind you used in your video. it allows the lid you remove to be placed back onto the can. It leaves a smooth edge on the can and the lid so that you can add a knob of some sort to the top of the can to make a little canister with a lid . These can openers are quite common now and come in both electric and manual versions.
That is awesome!
What kind of Can Opener do you have and do you remember where you purchased it? Thank you so much 😊
@Our Upcycled Life I love your ideas for Upcycling the many tin cans 😍 Beautiful
@@WJW1024 I have one of those can openers, and I love it! In addition to giving a smooth edge (no more cuts), they also seem to be cleaner because they don't make contact with the food. I bought a Hamilton Beach Smooth Touch, and it still served me well for 7 years. I got mine at HH Gregg, but I believe they sell them at Target, Walmart, and Amazon among other places. If you Google "Hamilton Beach Smooth Touch can opener", you can find one for just over $30-35.
@@WJW1024 I have an electric one made by Hamilton Beach. I love it.
Love all your upcycled tin cans

Loved your video! I always feel so guilty tossing tin cans but never really had a good idea about what to do with them! The "crushed bottom" idea is genius! & attaching it to a broken handle is so smart!! I want to try the napkin transfer! So much info! I'm on overload! But thank you for the inspiration!!
You are so welcome!

I love doing these cans, they are so fun to make. I like using material the most. I like the ones you did with the clay they don't look like cans. Thank you for all the ideas 😊
Glad you like them!
I loved the old shovel handle on the best ,but all where great ideas Thanks 😊
Thank you! 😊
Me again. I actually liked the spacing on the “brick” tin can. I liked how the rows of ridges on the can showed between the “bricks”. But I guess you could space them closer together and then grout it to get a more authentic brick look.
I really love the smashed turquoise one❤
Thanks for watching. Glad you enjoyed.
Love the candle idea out of the tuna can. Going to try that.
Hope you enjoy
I like your tier stand. It was easy and very pretty. Thank you.

I made 24 bottom crushed cans for my bowling banquet last year. They were cute with a fuzzy bunny and pink check fabric
What a big project they sound really cute
Love it!! One thing you are using your can opener wrong. If you use the can opener the correct way it will be smooth instead of jagged. Hope this tip helps 😊

Thank you so much 🤗
Absolutely beautiful ❤🎉😊
Very inspiring, useful and delightful!!!
I wish you would show your finished products at the end again and showcases your work!
your tin can crafts remind me of my childhood, of the times my cousin and i would create a variety of mud pies using grandma's collection of used cans. i wonder if you'd be interested in creating a little still life (for a patio or deck) with some cute little "mud" pies and cookies and soups with cans and aluminum pot pie dishes etc? i'm thinking you may have to create artificial "mud," and garnish it with either dried flowers or, better yet for longevity, recycled clippings of silk flowers and leaves. some old chipped china might also add some child-like glamor to the still life mud pie foods. *P.S.: i LOVE your "pinch pot" (can) pockets! soooo cute!*
Some great ideas. Thanks for watching. Glad you enjoyed.
smashed can planters- fave
Thanks
I use coffee filters inthebottom of my planters, too, but I usefheusedone with the grounds still in it. I love the pocket cans!
Great idea 💡
My granddaughters love to decoupage about 1 item each until the next time we decoupage. Cans are great but they are available with pout extra expense. Getting the glue off of the side of cans is tougher on the grandma.
Absolutely fantastic ideas. I’ve always tried to upcycle cans because I have so many from my dogs food! You have given me some more great ideas! Thank you. 👍🏻
You are so welcome!
So creative and inspiring...thanks!!!😊
Thank you! 😊
I loved them all and definitely have an overflowing recycle tub full of tin cans. The garbage bag one got me thinking though. I wonder if I can turn it into a tissue holder? Hmmmm… Thank you for sharing your creative ideas with us!
