- I find large Titanite crystals at the famous Titanite Hill located in Tory Hill Ontario, a short hop from the Town of Bancroft, also known as the Mineral Capitol of Canada. Titanite Hill is know for its gemmy green Apatite crystals and lustrous wedge shaped Titanite crystals, Rockhounds have been visiting this mineral collecting site for years.
Collect, rock hound, explore and hike at your own risk and always seek land owner permission before collecting.
I’m late but love the video, glad I found your channel!
Glad you enjoy it!
GREAT job, Jeff! I've been a fan, for years...both you and Mick. You've always been the "grunt," down in the holes and coming up with the spectacular finds! You do a GREAT job, on these vids. One suggestion: WEAR a net, more often!!
Thanks, sometimes I turn into the human mole and dig dig dig.
You killed it. So much fun to watch, especially how your energy recovered after finding nice crystals.
A good find always boosts the energy for a while.
Great trip Jeff. Thanks for letting us tag along. Thought for a minute I saw Mick in the background with a bug swatter. Beautiful crystals by the way.
Mick was busy this time around, but we do have a mineral trip in the works.
Oh! The good parking spot- hate when its takin, lol Nice crystal and clusters!
Amazing Crystals, Nice crystal Hunt,)
Thanks for doing this series - Titanite, Schickler, Grace Lake. I'm planning my first trip up to that area for early September - good to know what to expect! My vehicle has higher ground clearance, but its just FWD, so might be walking a bit further ...
Each year the road into Titanite Hill is getting worse and worse.
Amazing Titanite crystals, well done
Thanks, I cant wait to get back to keep digging at that spot.
Are you on crown or private land ?
I have to try and arrange a meet with you. I want to show you the 2 spots i go. You wont be disappointed my friend. Im booked to head up in April. You should join me if weather permits us to dig.
Dude, ya scored pretty solid here. Im heading up the hill sunday. Ive been inspired lol
Nice titanites, I am actually going up there tomorrow.
Good day Jeff , awesome to see ya and I'm subscribing as soon as im finished up with my comment. I wonder if my Kawasaki would make it up that hill ? .lol.
You can park close to the hill, not much of a walk to find good stuff.
@@OffTheBeatenPath1 when I shoot back up there this or the following weekend I'll definitely park by the hill , lol. I made an attempt to ride up the muddy road but soon changed my mind and slowly made my way back down to park by the lake .
Got some beauty Titanites Jeff!! Way to go!! For some reason there and Bear lake I've found my best and biggest Titanites in the top 2-3 feet of dirt. Weird??
I need to get back out there, I have a spot that is not done done giving crystals yet.
@@OffTheBeatenPath1 Cooler weather around the corner and less bugs! Yep, now is the time!
@@OffTheBeatenPath1 Hey Jeff, you commented on my logging vid, for some reason it won't let me reply to you. So in some cases the logging has helped and hindered collecting. It has exposed new spots if they pulled the stumps but they have left felled trees on the slopes too which has covered up some digging spots. Hopefully they clean it up when their done. Goin back Friday so we'll see?
Nice to watch. How many moskitos do you have there?
Way too many!!!
How do we go about getting permission to collect from titanite hill aswell ?
Crown land, anyone can dig there as long as you follow the Ontario guidelines regarding hobby collecting, if there is still such a thing.
