    How could I get a color? I’m trying to match a vintage green tub

    Can you take a white basin and transform it into a different color? Such as gold? How would the process differ for those of us wanting to paint a non-white color?

      The Rust-Oleum tub & tile refinishing kit only comes in Coastal Fog & White! Gold would be really cool. I will give Rust-Oleum feedback to research additional colors.

    I'm curious! My bathroom sink is a mustard yellow but I want it to be as white as it is in the video. Would I have to apply more than two coats to achieve the desired color?

      For Mustard Yellow, it is very likely two coats will be needed.

    You didn’t mention what you did to the drain hole. Has a metal ring.

    If the sink and counter are all one piece and it all needs painted is this product for both?

      Hi Sherri, you can use the Rust-Oleum product in this video for the sink & counter if it’s all in one piece! Id recommend using a small foam roller on the countertop this will give you an even finish! Definitely make sure you vent the area where you paint too because the fumes are very strong.

    What if I don't want to use all of the paint? Can't I just remove what I need from the canisters without mixing in them?

    • @scarraway3414

      You shouldn't do that because the ratio has to be perfect for it to cure properly. That's why one can is larger than the other.

    How do you smooth out the paint?

    • @annietheace7196
      @annietheace7196 Год назад +2

      Hi Norman! Rust-Oleum Tub & Tile is an epoxy coating which is self-leveling. Small bubbles will disappear as it dries. Wait 1-2 hours for the first coat to dry. Apply a second coat if needed. The trick is applying thin coats. I found that using a ¼” short nap roller works best and be strategic when you roll (or brush). Don't just roll it on in any direction, go in one direction and this will eliminate lines. Pick up a good quality fine-bristle varnish brush to help you feather those edges. You got this, the product works great! Please make sure you good ventilation too! Happy Painting!

    • @AceHardware
      @AceHardware  10 месяцев назад +2

      Hi There,
      If we are taking cracks that leak then try a caulking called Lexel it won’t be perfect but once dry it’s paintable.
