@@harpoon_bakery162 mine is the same size. The prices are ridiculous. We also have one that’s twice as long and a tub that needs to be done. I think I’ll hire someone refinish them all . Too many to do myself and have them all come out as they should.
@@Mary-671 wow, yep, it's a lot to take on, but I'm probably going to give it a go. other bathroom is longer and tub as well so lot to think about. I'll start with this smaller one 55x22 (the sink is the shape of a clamshell with 2 soap dish ledges inside the sink (making it even harder for good coverage). if you end up doing it, let us know out here in comment land how it went!!! Mine is yellow-ish cultured marble with a smooth real wood maple vanity cabinet, that too is a hard decision but it will be blue , gray , or white to meet the demands of the current color market-place trends / fad. (if you would agree)
Thanks for showing. I have a question for you. Would one not achieve a better finish if all of the figures were removed? I found that when one has to change the fixtures sometimes you are left with the footprint of the old fittings and it looks really crappy. Removing the fittings gives the advantage of having a clean base.
I used three colors in my tub it looks like a nice stone tub but I also used a marble effect paint with a little spray paint a heat gun and some rubbing alcohol But I had to do a epoxy clear to seal the paint I like the stone coat stuff because its good epoxy.
What product do you recommend for Do It Yourself people? I have a bath vanity in my rental with two sinks where the sinks are discolored so want to recoat either the sinks or the entire tops.
I saw that too; but, could it be a reflection of something? IDK . . . But, it does look like dents? I've watched several video's where they are using these thick products that work using gravity . . . Looks tricky and timing is uber important.
@@donfriar7199 mine has not discolored and is cultured marble, it's yellow-ish but that was the style in the late nineties. This is why he is going with white, it's just a color change. no discoloring.
This is one of the best jobs I have seen yet on this product. I also see that you used a rubber Butter or a basting brush and it did a fantastic job.
The $200-$300 price of a a new top somehow doesn’t seem so much now, thank you for talking me into buying a new one.
try 700 to 800, at least for mine, which is 55" x 22"

How did you prepare the drain spout?
SO THE SOUTH AFRICAN FARMER HAS A WONDERFUL BATHROOM.... GREAT. AS HE IS BLEEDING OUT IN THE TUB HIS SINK LOOKS GREAT.
Can you tell us what that wide spreader brush is called? I've never seen it in the US! thank you for the video! Looks great!
Looks like a silicone basting brush
Did you do any prep.on the counter/sink before coating it?
yes we clean and sand the surface with 150 grit sand paper .
I’d hire this guy, if he were in my area.
Hi - looks nice. How do you keep the product from getting into the drain? You mentioned a plastic bag. Where did you put the bag? Thanks?
Tape around the stopper
That means you gotta take off the plumbing, underneath?
How much does this job cost for a Professional to do?
What product did you use or name of the brand
Give me those painting tools. Buy where in Phoenix? Thanks.
How long does this last?
Id use a blow dryer on cold to spread faster.
How much is a price for this work ?
do you heat the bathtub so that it will start working faster?
no but needs to be room temp ideally 25 cc.
What product do you recommend for Do It Yourself people? I have a bath vanity in my rental with two sinks where the sinks are discolored so want to recoat either the sinks or the entire tops.
Ekopel. What’s he’s using. It’s diy friendly
What's the name of chemical ?
What kind of dryer did you use?
It looks like a heat gun.
Why can't you roll it on?
What a professional... Stop the video when you do a mistake... Good move!!!
Wheres batman?
What is the “product “. Great job btw

Would a hair dryer work in a pinch?
yep
Bumpy wavy surface
How does it handle abrasive specially around the bowl?
NEVER use an abrasive on an exopy finish of any kind. Soft cloth and easy on the chemicals too.
Competent. I'm impressed. The people complaining haven't a clue.
Is it me or did he ignored the three dents he put in the paint near the faucet?

That’s the way the sink was made. You can see the dents in the sink at the beginning. Before he applies the coating
how much did that particular job cost out as? Just doing some budgeting...thanks
This vanity cost $440 to resurface but we were also doing the bath.
Just a nut case...they should take your toys and lock you up....:)))
mass of fisheyes on the surface. A new vanity top would've cost no more and would not have lowered the value of the property.
What a bad job !!!!!!! Looks horrible
why would the owner want to do that to a beauitfiul marble top
That was not marble but cultured marble which turns yellow and discolors after many years.
