Use Oven cleaner on old tile. YES you must have a mask. I used Oven cleaner on a shower. Soap is made from oils and fats. Shower looked New. All soap scum gone. use vent fan. you should use a shower hose to spray off the Oven cleaner.
What is the bottle in your hand. Show us the name. Me have a stone kitchen sink, but the facet is metal and could not tell why the rust is rust on the stone near the sink faucet. Cannot well see of what spray products on your hand. is wd-40 rusty oil?
Thank you! I’ve used this in just bathtubs and sinks. I’d be a little worried about how it’d hold up against silverware and pots & pans. I haven’t tried! Sorry
Hi, what material is the SINK made of? Is it porcelain? Stone? Synthetic? Polymer? As not all the materials guarantee these results. Your information will be highly appeciated.
Good demonstration of this technique. Personally, unless the sink has sentimental value? The cost of the reglazing exceeds the cost of a brand new sink.
You also would be hard pressed to find something that meets the same dimensions or just simply fits well in that space. This specifically you might or you might have a nightmare looking for one. You just never know. So just fixing it up to buy time to look for one might be your best bet until you find one.
Can I paint my restroom sink counter top with that same spray that you use ?mine is white I just moved in it looks like it been repainted.the counter top haves scratches do to my kids using a pumice rock thinking it was porcelain, I have no clue what they use to paint my counter top help?????????
Try Gianni countertop paint. I used it in my kitchen and love the results! Just make sure to do at least 4 coats of finish (clear) coats to prevent wearing away of the new paint where the countertop gets leaned against a lot, like the front edge when brushing teeth, washing up, etc.
You totally screwed the pooch on this one. REMOVE THE SINK! Because you didn't remove the sink to bare bones. It's gonna start chipping around the drain and the faucet. SAND THE SINK! You didn't give it enough of an abrasive surface for for the refinishing to adhere too. So it's gonna look like a polished. Turd, for a couple of months and then it's back to looking like a straight turd.
To really do it right I would remove the whole sink and the faucet plus the drain. The stink of all of this stuff especially the reglaze LOL do in a well ventilated area
Better to get a professional to do that, I don't think that can of spray will last, I didn't see a shine, probably will start peeling in a couple of weeks.
Why did you not mask off the area around it? The mirror, the wall, the tiles, all of those areas are going to have aerosol mist overspread on them. No matter what you do, mask off the surrounding area. Your mirror will have a mist of white that if you aren' quick to clean it, you'll probably have to clean it with paint thinner or lacquer thinner if you just mask off the stuff around it, you'd save yourself all kinds of time and anybody else who's doing this... If you don't mask the area off, you will have, fine mist particles overspray everywhere. It will be on the walls, tile and even the floor. When I 1st started doing repairs and remodels (a hundred years ago)... We would wash everything down including the floor and with booties on when you went in to check the work your booties would feel like they were walking on sandpaper. What I finally realized was that wonderful smooth feeling floor now felt like you were walking on sandpaper because of the airborne overspread that drifted down and you were now cleaning the overspray with thinners. Please note thinners while being great cleaners, are dangerous if not handled properly or stored properly in some cases, can have spontaneous combustion. So I always say Mask it off so you don't have to clean it or clean it before dries ... it's a lot easier 👍

yes there’s a lot of hype about reglazing sinks, a quick fix. My question is how long does it last? Show me the sink in a year. I don’t think it would last even a Year. I’m talking about a kitchen sink not bathroom sink. A sink that is all the time. I highly thought about doing this until I read many reviews saying that the glaze does not last long at all on a kitchen sink

Barkeepers friend. The liquid kind. Dont over scrub. 😊
