Dany isn't "pleasing" Drogo, though that is a side effect. She's taking control of her situation. She's making the best out of a situation where she's just an object and humanizing herself and Drogo to each other, allowing her to exercise some power and agency. It's really smart on her part as she was getting assaulted regardless.
In the books she was never assaulted by drogo. Their first night together after the wedding, he gives her the choice to say not and it’s actually a much more romantic and sweet relationship in the book. Really sad they did my boy drogo dirty like that.

She couldn't have said no either way; Either way if she said no Viserys would have beaten her/torment her and Khal Drogo would've r*ped her. The Dothraki aren't "gentle" people. In the books he isn't romantic or ever described as such. Daenerys is suffering through trauma through this "marriage" and the r*ping, she tries to see Khal Drogo as a better person than he actually is to help her mentally cope with the trauma. She is ignored everyday the whole day by him and then in the evening he r*pes her. "Even the nights brought no relief. Khal Drogo ignored her when they rode, even as he had ignored her during their wedding, and spent his evenings drinking and his warriors and bloodriders,racing prize horses, watching women dance and men die. What part of Khal Drogo did you find romantic i wonder? Or did you really even read the books?
@@dunjaspasojevic550 I mean in the book, first off everyone is a lot younger. And yes it makes it pretty clear that drogo respect Danny. Did you even read the book? Cuz clearly you don’t seem to understand what Danny was feeling during the chapter. Drogo gave her freedom from her abusive brother. He takes her riding, ask her to unbraid his hair and is as soft as he can be with Danny. You clearly didn’t read the book. It’s a medieval setting and you’re shocked by the age gap? Do you know Juliette was like 13 or 12 as well in Romeo and Juliette. 😅
@@dunjaspasojevic550 what you have described is a scene from the TV show. My point is that scene didn’t happen like that in the book. Drogo doesn’t take her like he does in the tv show. He rides with her, is very gentle with her and she ask her if he should stop when he is caressing her to make her more comfortable. Drogo in the book is described as having a quiet intelligence behind his eye and his obsession with the stallion that will mount the world is the reason he married Danny to begin with. Did you read the book? Cuz expect for the age nothing in that wedding scene between Danny and drogo was nothing like you describe.

For Sophie and Maisie, the scene they auditioned for was not included in the series. Arya is brushing mud out of Nymeria's fur while Lady is spotlessly clean. Sansa is happy she gets to ride with the queen and sit on pillows and eat lemon cakes. Arya points out wagon has no windows, while she has learned names of several flowers, and will look in the river (Trident) for Rhaegar's rubies. Essentially, to run and play in the sun and look for Lizard Lions while Sansa sits in a dark wagon . Two sisters who have nothing in common, but yet are besties in real life.

Sansa is insufferable during this season but I always had a soft spot for her. She's a child who is naive and what she sees in Joffrey is a fairytale, she's the type of girl to sing about knights and maidens. what she sees in Joffrey is a prince, a future king, the ones in the songs and ballads. but soon she'll see that she was very wrong about him.. don't be too harsh on her just yet please

Odio a Sansa
The thing that took me a while to get, since I'm an American, is just how worshipped the monarchy is in a setting like this. Like not only is Sansa only 13 (11 in the books!) So she's naive and in puppy love, but in her mind the royal family is on another level. You can't talk back to them, you can't hurt them, they're always pure and right. And Joffrey and the Queen up until this point always treated her kindly, so she doesn't know what we know about them. It's frustrating the way she acts, but it makes sense.
That's part of the reason but regardless it would have been the smart play. Sure helping the butchers boy is noble but think about the consequences. If Arya wasn't a stark she would be dead too and now the lannisters and Jeffrey who is projected to be sansa's husband has reason to dislike them. Worst it was for nothing as due to Arya escalating the situation instead of being bullied the butchers boy died. Arya was acting like Ned in this situation while Sansa was attempting to play the game.
Yeah, being loyal to your future husband and your family in law is a smart move.
Not that they deserve that type of loyalty, but even so your life is easier if you behave like a dutiful future daughter in law.

In terms of the times, remember Drogo (and everyone) just decided women's jobs were to procreate. She's been abused all her life by her brother, and she's decided she doesn't want to have others control her fate. It's less about pleasing Drogo and more about taking her power back. Drogo is receptive to this too because he really wants a queen and a child, not to abuse a slave.
I had to pause and look up characters names at first. Even then, I wasn’t able to really follow what was going on until a couple seasons in. I had to rewatch the entire series over to fully enjoy GoT.
You MUST watch the opening credits, IN THEIR ENTIRETY, every single episode. They change and evolve and also tell the story throughout the series!!!! Keep up the awesome content!!

Jon and Robb were born a few weeks apart. Jon is the eldest son. Should Ned decide to legitimize him as a Stark, he will inherit everything: the title, castle and lands. Cat fears for her children. But I agree with you, it is not fair to blame Jon and be mean to him.

You're absolutely correct, morally and logically speaking.
But it's also important to understand.
Catelyn, in her society, cannot really separate from Ned. She HAS to make that work, somehow, despite the fact that Ned raising a bastard in their home alongside her trueborn children is both an insult to her and her family, a potential future political threat against her children, and a daily reminder that her husband surely loved another woman dearly, since he's "going above and beyond" for this child.
That's a lot to deal with, when you can't leave. Should Catelyn let herself hate Ned instead? If she did, she would have to live the rest of her or his life with someone she hates in her home, and have to accept sexual intimacy with someone she hates. That's a lot to ask someone to endure for years and years and years.
It's not fair on Jon that he grows up feeling unwelcome, an outsider, in his own family; but it's also not fair on Catelyn, the situation she is in.
It's also not right of her to lash out at Jon in her grief. But it's a very human thing to do, to say things we later regret when deep in grief.
I just can't help feeling sorry for them both.
I think it's because it wasn't customary for a bastard to be raised in the house. While having a bastard or a few might have been fine if they were out of sight, the constant reminder might have been too much for her. Not defending her, btw cuz I could not stand her for how she treated Jon.

Lady 🐺 would still have died wether Sansa told the truth or not since the Queen would not let the direwolf biting her son slide and cause Nymeria (the direwolf who actually bit Joffrey) was gone she would still have wanted a direwolf to be “punished”. Also it seems to me that a lot of people don’t realise that by Sansa lying she was not only protecting the Starks relationship with the crown and the Lannisters (who are a very rich and influential House) but also protecting her sister since she did in fact attacked the prince I know it’s frustrating because the little sh!t deserved it but things are not that simple

Common folk don’t have last names, just first names. Ned Stark is a lord and his “true born” children do take his name, but Jon doesn’t, because he’s a bastard. Jon’s last name is Snow. Bastards of lords take a specific name based on where they’re born. Bastards of northern lords are all named “Snow.”

I believe in the books they mentioned they were carefully feeding Bran honeyed milk while he was comatose, which was just enough to keep him alive (although he was getting skinnier and weaker).

Eddard Stark is his full name. “Ned” is a shortened form, a nickname if you will. It’s like if the name on someone’s birth certificate is “William” but everyone and their mother calls the guy “Bill.”

Danearys can't walk right and has injured hands/feet because she's not accustomed to riding horseback all day and night, and getting blisters from holding/pulling on the reigns for hours.
And honestly, despite her going into those lessons to make Drogo happy, it actually ends up helping her make /herself/ happy by learning how to make her voice known in the bedroom, so to speak. So not a bad thing overall.
