Have flown Airlink around SA many times. And yes, like you said, South Africa is the most beautiful country on earth. All the best holiday destinations in one place.
I am not medically cleared to fly. I have catastrophic end stage arthritis. They pain that a pressurized cabin..the docs worry it would be to much on my heart. Last holiday...travelled to Windhoek from Zimbabwe....I first took airlink from Harare to joburg then another airlink to Windhoek to see my parents and little brother, it's so good even the hospitality from the air hostess is just AMAZING!!!!!!!!

On behalf of all Namibian. Thank you for the videos. It's such a great honor to welcome you to Namibia, Your videos are a great inspiration and i only use to watch them while traveling to Far East Asia..
nice to see you get out of Europe again. going from the beautiful sand beaches of the Mediterranean to sand everywhere...can't wait to see the next one. Namibia should be very interesting.
Do you ever wish that you could stick your arm out to touch the clouds?? I do! 💚 Johannesburg looks so nice from the air 😃!! I'm actually surprised at a meal on such a short flight!! Won't find that in the States....! All in all, with the beautiful scenery, your perfect music, the very nice meal, it was a very pleasant flight!! Like everyone else, I'm looking forward to next week's video!!! PS: for me, watching out the window while flying is like a meditation 😊!! Continued success dear LTE!
Watching your videos with much content, excellence and appreciation. Thank you for your cultural sensitivity and intelligence. It is so warm to see you visiting the native lands of South Africa, and Namibia. All of the best towards #1million subscribers and I am proudly one of them
Nice short trip! The take-off was exciting. Beautiful view of the city. Delicious food, Ostrich, polenta, and carrot cake! Pretty clouds in the sky before landing. I'm jealous!
I'm still fairly new to flying but I have to say the Embraer 175 is a favorite of mine. The one I usually fly on has a slightly different layout with first class having 12 seats laid out in a 1-2 configuration. Then economy plus followed by economy. I like being in first class in a seat on the single seat side. I've never flown on a large airplane..
Yes I do believe I flew them from either Cape Town or Jburg to Hoedspruit several years ago. Very smooth and efficient. Glad to see they go to Londolozi as my friends and I flew on Federal Air from Tambo to Londolozi in 2016
Looks like some of your other commenters are as fascinated as I am by your ostrich fillet. Quite a fancy meal for a short flight. I enjoy flying in smaller planes--the views in your video were magnificent. Can't wait for next Saturday!
What month was this trip, I live in Durban and flew to Johannesburg and back with them, when South Africa wasn't allowed to serve Any on board catering, airlink gave us a snack box when we left the airplane. Was a great gesture. Comfortable airplane I flew on their E170 great airline
I just want to say wow. this is some great editing.Being around you is like being on a happy little vacation. Congratulations on such an amazing achievement, Good job...
Very nice video, especially I like ground area when take off Vllas, Roads are very neatly maintained. When landing we can see horizon of the desert area. Awesome.
@@pepumarius2006 for various reasons, more passengers lately (not all of them) are behaving in a rude, disrespectful, combative manner toward the flight attendants & their fellow passengers. That's what I mean by hostile.
I always flew with Airlink as it was and I still think it is the only airline servicing WDH from JNB .. The e190 is really smooth, better than the erj145 that they also use. Airlink did great to get those planes and their service is very good.
Great video as usual. It's a shame that South Africa is still banned for most countries at this point... Omicron it's all over the world and some countries are lifting the restrictions anyway... Nonsense...
Flew this sector more than 8 years ago; great scenery. 2022: Qantas now flies this aircraft on its smaller domestic sectors such as the Adelaide to Darwin route, since the Melbourne to Darwin sector is deemed an international one since Qantas flies Melb.-Darwin - London with its B787
Flying into Phoenix, Arizona can be turbulent during the summer months as well. Temps easily reach 105 to 110 degrees Fahrenheit. I’ve had plenty of bumpy descents into Phoenix over the years. .
I’ve been following your vids for years and it’s been my motivation to fly, and enjoy, and in style too. Thank you as always. Btw - what’s the name of the song at the very end? I tried to Shazam it but it didn’t catch it.
been to Namibia in the '94s Ams-Paris-Johannesbourg-Windhoek v.v. by AF (Paris-Windhoek 747 with first, business & economy; about 2 hours stopover in Johannesburg). Always night over Africa.
@@luxurytravelexpert yes, many years Paris Charles de Gaulle - Johannesburg (about 2 hours wait over) and then continuing towards Windhoek in about 2 hours with the same junbo jet. Arriving late in the morning there. Back in the afternoon (think 3-4 o'clock) - Johannesburg - Paris (arriving early in the morning) and a good stopover to/from Amsterdam, also with AF. As a dutch person, I do like the Afrikaans in Namibia (and the german language too, as a result of the german colonial period that lasted not very long until the 1st WW...)
Dutch & German are 1 of the few European languages that inspired the Southern African language of Afrikaans which is mostly spoken by white people living both in Africa & some of the South American countries. Another fact is Namibia is the ONLY country in Africa that have German as one of it's official languages because it was once a German colony until after WW2, then was occupied by "Apartheid South Africa" until it gained it's independence in 1990.
I've flown with Airlink from Windhoek, Namibia to Capetown, Africa a couple of times and i must say it was a wonderful experience. We speak Afrikaans in Namibia and SA. Thank you for visiting my country.

About 20 years ago, I used to fly from Glasgow to Bristol regularly. BA used an Embraer jet on the route as well as a Dash 8. I am not sure however what model of Embraer it was but it had an unusual seat configuration of one seat on the left of the aisle and two seats on the right. It always seemed strange to me, but I enjoyed travelling on it for the short one hour flight. I didn't realise that there were any 747's left flying passengers. I look forward to the review of your proposed flight with Lufthansa.
