Thanks for the video mate. This task waiting for me this weekend! Thank heavens I have a mate who is very technically minded and surely he'll work it out!
This video gonna be a huge part of the success of the operation!
Cheers!
That's awesome man if you have any questions along the way feel free to ask away I'm happy to help if I can good luck with the job and have fun 😉
This video was a HUGE help thank you very much for making this one
Glad it could help this was one of my 1st videos ever I was so camera shy 🤣🤣 I was all discombobulated nervous stumbled on a few things I'm glad it could still help

Nice man I'm glad they can help out and congrats on your new car
Thank you so much for this detailed guide!!!! 🙏🙏🙏🙏
@@Tseringzzz your most very welcome I'll try and remaster it a little later it was one of my 1st videos
Hey man dat was an awesome video. Thank you. Did u have to loosen the oil dip stick ?
Cool ,I will check but I think this is my next job...very helpful film
Nice good luck have fun doing it if you have any questions feel free to ask away I'll be around
loosen the 19m bolt for the belt tensioner first or you risk breaking the adjustment rod
Good close-up videography and excellent narration. Thanks for puttign it together!
Tha k you for the feedback I'm glad you liked it 😁 that means alot
Excellent, thanks for sharing!
Your most very welcome I hope it helped out in some way shape or form. 😉
It helped, but I had to resign from the task. On the W126 it is extremely difficult, especially if you do not want to remove the cold side from the engine and some water pipe goes right below that to the oil filter. Can't reinstall the pipe with the air assembly in place (filter removal doesn't help too much).
Yo, bro. Sorry if I comment too much, but I wanted to thank you so much, because the waterpump is finished. I wrote down all the tools I needed from your video, wrote down your process, and bam. Knocked it out. I would not have been able to accomplish this without the video. I learn better hands on so the visuals were awesome, and I have to say, it was challenging, yet fun. This is my first classic Benz, so this is new grounds to me. I hope everyone can see how truly helpful you are. This definitely wasn't a job alot of people do, because I think most would just junk or sell the car. Again, thank you!!!
You are most very welcome man that makes me feel really good that my videos actually help people! That's one of the biggest reasons why I made this channel and congrats on doing that job it really is a pain in the butt 😅
@@thebenzhouse sure is lol. I will say these old benz are very interestingly engineered. Still love it though. Next step get her up and running. Hopefully it won't overheat anymore.
@@thebenzhouseso I got the waterpump done, but its still leaking coolant. Very slowly this time. Seems to come from my thermostat top. But its also dripping from the oil pan. Not sure what to do. The pump itself is no longer leaking but idk what the hell it could be. Any ideas in that area thatd cause a coolant leak?
@viking2253 the oring on the water pump might not he seated properly and sorry I just now saw I didn't msg back I apologize
@@thebenzhouse you are good my guy. I got that issue fixed. I had the oring on the t stat on the bottom of it not the top lmao. Dumb moment hahaha. No longer over heats or leaks. Now I think my ovp relay needs fixed or replaced. Took it for a spin and it died on me down the block but man did she move like hell for an old car.
Neat trick with loosening the ps pump pulley bolts. I always struggled with that.
Thanks I hope it helped you out
@@thebenzhouse I hope I would never have to do that again anytime soon 😅
you probably wonr see this, but how did you get to the bottom nut for the tension adjuster bracket?
What one are you talking about and you can msg me on ig my @ is benzboi23 I'm more than happy to help
@@thebenzhouse thanks will do
is the steering pump the same for essence or diesel?
Do you mean to take it off or the same part number
@@thebenzhouse i mean same part number?
@@youcefyouyou4301 if I'm being honest I don't know what engine do you have the om603 om617 om602
@@thebenzhouse I have om601
@@youcefyouyou4301 it might be the same I can't remember off the top of my head I'm sorry
Worst job on a M103 or M104.
No kidding it's a nightmare they made it so complicated to do on these motors everything else it ridiculously easy tho so I guess it equals out kinda
@@thebenzhouse It's if they started with the water pump and built the car around it. I hope you got a new hose between the block and water pump as well, one of Mercedes greatest engineering marvels.
@@jorn1409 🤣 you already know
@@thebenzhouseawww this is ass, bro. I have to do a waterpump, radiator, coolant hoses, and t stat and t stat housing. Well I better not make any plans for a couple days.
@viking2253 well I hope this video helps you knock it out it is for sure a lengthy job none the less
So can a faulty seal or bad waterpump cause leaking that drips off the side of the oil pain near that oil level sensor or sensor on the oil pan? Just did upper and lower radiator hoses, thermostat and thermostat housing top. I didnt start it but after i put coolant in it started leaking quickly. Its a good steady drip and looks like it very well could be coming from the area you shown. No oil in coolant and car fires right up so have great compression, just over heats, i dont run it.
It's probably coming from the waterpump oring sometimes the coolant will run to the back of the motor yes that's a common issue
@@thebenzhouse shit. Was hoping I didn't have to do that yet. I guess sooner rather than later lol. I'll be using this video alot in the coming days.
@viking2253 if you have any questions when doing so I'm happy to help
@@thebenzhouse awesome thank you. Have a good night.
