    I ran into not being able to loosen my tensioner all the way. I can get it to loosen and tighten about 40%. Even backing off my 19mm even an extra turn or two, still won’t loosen enough to re install the new belt.
    I just installed this tensioner a-few years ago. Gonna remove this tensioner and install a new one. Bummer.

      I wonder if my shock is seized.

    • @thebenzhouse
      @thebenzhouse  2 месяца назад

      That exactly what I was about to ask if you checked your shock it should be bad after a few years if you loosen the 19mm 1st then start to loosen the 13 at the top it should move the tensioner if it doesn't take off the bolt for the shock and then try it it's prob stuck

    I loosened both the 19mm and the 13mm but the tensioner isn’t moving at all? Am I supposed to do something else or is there a way to do this even though my tensioner is stuck all the way tensioned

    • @thebenzhouse
      @thebenzhouse  2 месяца назад +1

      That should be all 🤔. Loosen the 19mm then loosen the 13mm on the top take a pry bar and try and move it maybe the tensioner is stuck 🤔

      @@thebenzhouse I have a feeling that my 13mm is broken/stripped. can rotate it but the long rod attached to it does not move at all. Ordered replacement adjuster + shock

    Was doing this today and I the previous owner didn't loosen the 19mm before the adjustment bolt so it's stripped the threads and instead of fixing it he just fitted a smaller belt😭 so now with the new correct belt I can't tighten the belt since the threads are stripped. Any ideas to how I can fix this?

      They sell a replacement part for that unfortunately you will have to remove the tensioner to get it because it sits behind everything but they do sell replacements parts so it's not 2bad just annoying sorry to hear that

    Nice work fam. I went to try to start the sportline today and the pumps sounded like ass. Maybe because I got the cheapest ebay ones possible. LOL. So back to replacing the pumps again.. SMH.

      Yea we learned the hard way with the fuel pumps for sure we purchased about 10 because we are always buying fixing and selling these cars talk about a total waste of money you just have to get the good ones it will save you money and time in the long run we've been stuck on the side of the road because of crappy pumps. Btw what sportline do you have that's awesome

    How did you replace the shock for the tensioner? I'm not sure how to go about it. Also im trying to replace my tensioner adjuster (the screw that you loosen) but Im not sure how to. Any tips? Do i have to take out the whole entire tensioner assembly?

    • @thebenzhouse
      @thebenzhouse  2 месяца назад

      The tensioner adjuster you have to take out the assembly regardless but the shock you only have to remove the 2bolts and that's it it's a bolt on bottom and a bolt and nut on the top

      @@thebenzhouseyou’re a big help, I’m trying to remove the power steering and water pump pulley to get the idler assembly out. How did you remove the pulleys? I’ve taken off the 3x13mm bolts but the pulleys won’t budge.
      Also - I know you said you were putting an electric fan instead of the clutch fan. Did you ever do it? I need to replace mine

    • @thebenzhouse
      @thebenzhouse  2 месяца назад +1

      @@grantcapel9884 if you took off all 3bolts just tap it a few times to get it off it sounds like it's just stuck on the assembly itself don't be scared to hit it and yes we do have the electric fans hooked up I can totally make a video showing how we did that if you would like at the moment I'm doing a request on how to bypass the neutral safety switch
