      I use the upp 72v 19.2ah triangle, got it from them on Amazon. Works good with my g62 hub. I’ve always used UPP triangles and never had an issue, I’m not exactly taking it easy on them either. I’ve had the case start to break where the Velcro straps through but that was my own fault. The Velcro that ships with them can be noisy. I’ve had chargers fail and they sent me a new one

The only other options in triangle that I can find are over twice the price, but come with Molicel and are capable of 300 amp all day, but I only need 60 amps max at 72v for my BBSHD with aftermarket controller. I am going to buy that exact same battery and push it at around 3500 watts and see what happens. Cheers.

    Such a clean build, but I guess it's a lot easier with that kind of seat to hide it under. Pretty hard to hide a controller and excess wiring on a normal bike frame and seat tho, I've been thinking about 3D printing something like a bentobox that triathletes use to clean up my build. Would be really cool to know if anyone had done something similar and maybe see pictures of how it ended up looking!

    • @HighVoltageKits
      @HighVoltageKits  Год назад +2

    Very clean build. Tastefully done.
    Thank you for your presentation. Is that battery really 95 amp-hr?? Wow!!
    I am visualizing Qty 5 x 19 amp-hr shark batteries. Doesn't look like that triangle is big enough for 95 amp-hrs...or perhaps I misunderstood.
    PS. Only thing somewhat insurmountable and I understand completely why a single gear ratio of .75 to 1 or so was chosen with field weakening such that the BBSHD can achieve very high RPM...I like everything about this build other than for anything over 15 mph or so, pedaling is pretty irrelevant. I suppose that is the point of a moto style e-bike such this...not really a pedaling style of ebike.
    It does beg the question however, if pedals are even really desirable like with a Sur-Ron as only and example...but perhaps a good decision for compliance with local laws...for riding on MUP's etc.

    • @HighVoltageKits
      @HighVoltageKits  Год назад +1

      Battery is 19.5, the range is because of how and where it's ridden. Mostly it's used way below what it can do. On the beachfront at 20-30kph it does not use much power. With the ratio it's a smaller wheel on this albeit still a fat tire. Could have been closer to 1:1. Might be a bit aggressive on acceleration for the desired feel. The pedals are a valid point. With this he could set the bike to 750 watts and be totally legal on loads of infrastructure. We have to work with the laws as they exist. You could also have footpegs and forget about peddles. But as you say the legislation has to be considered.
