One of the things you gotta consider is that Brushed motors have some natural drag brake which helps in the corners. Pretty sure the guys that attempted to run big block weren't running any faster at INDY is why the class never took off.
I need to get out to INDY RC. But speaking of DFW tracks, after watching this video, I realized that I recognized Randy from Banana RC in Richardson. Boy, do I miss that place! I had some good times there!
With lipos theres a huge difference in power output with low ir graphene packs. It's very noticeable in racing. I mean i dont race and just bashing i notice it alot. Low ir mean more power for longer. High ir will putout less power and discharge fast. I check the ir of a pack ever time i hook it to the charger. If the ir is to high, over 20 its no good. I like mine to all be at 1-3.
The brushed vs brushless debate for spec is a huuuuge depends. If you have a zero delay brushless setup and really get your esc/motor dialed in for power response, then you get to gear it. For brushed, youre pretty much set and all you have to do is gear it unless youre in to tweaking brushes/springs, comms, drops, etc.
Love MSM he is always the dopest R/C Enthusiasts I know 💯 and very informative but if you all were curious as i really was the outro music he has is called Purple Fire by ELFL the song is awesome sauce another added to my Spotify collection 🔥🔥💯
Question - mid motor with a flipped traxxas trans, is he running sensorless? I ust built one and realized the motor direction is wrong. I got a 10bl120 and zerun 13.5t and now i think i need to print a mirrored trans case. This wasnt an issue on a sensorless mid motor slash i did.
@@The_RC_Guru won't the timing on the motor be wrong and have reduced performance? The 10bl120 unfortunately does not have motor direction as a config parameter.
@@black99rt ah ok. Well on my last two sensored brushless esc’s the motor timing and direction is changeable in the esc programming. I’d think it should be about needed I’m sorry yours don’t. I haven’t had the esc you have there though. You may be out of luck without changing the power plant.
The edge that nobody’s talking about about this cheap class, getting into for beginners, etc. is the 3, 4, and $500 REMOTES! What are your thoughts on this? I think the standard TQ remote should be in the Mudboss class and then do a Mudboss modified. I also think Tracks should consider a point system. Maybe 10 points for first place, five or eight points for second places, and 3 to 5 points for third place finishes. Once one hits 100 points, they are automatically moved up into the modified class. This is coming from a newbie who is just getting into the game. Love the challenge, but some of the drivers are so far above us, it’s going to be a very long time until we see success. What are your thoughts on this Mark? Hope to see you at Indy soon.
What gearing did you run? That is going to make a huge difference. You should know as well as anyone, you can put the same gear on, but does not mean it will run the same speed.
Oooohs and Aaahhhhs for the custom built Traxxas and calls the super clean RC10B3 a Turd…..as a Vintage Racer, I take offense to that😡😡……🤣🤣🤣 awesome Video😉👍
The BL2 will be way better in the long run for Mudboss. For 2 reasons, you won't have to spend 50 or more dollars on a "tuned" 12T. and the BL2 will perform the same WAY longer then a 12T.
Questionable cause my 12t from my OG slash when they first came out in 2008-9 and is running Super Strong Still on 2s with external lipo cutoff! High speed gearing that came in Slash 2wd RTR and plumbers tape on the shock caps and works amazing still to this day
BL-2S Rally is coming in October!
Always great information been doing some racing around my neighborhood

Insane set up
You might have started a new slogan for the Team Associated DK10. "It's ready to run, It's a lot of fun!"
Always good to see some Fiday night oval at Indy RC Garland Texas...
Really nice track cool cars
I really want to get into this with my nephew he wants one too some day I hope I have to get better first and learn to Walk again now

wil they ever allow the LCG chassi in spec mudboss

Have you done a video on how to setup mudboss?

It would be nice to see a test on the r1 battery.

You will need to change the esc settings to reverse the motor rotation.

Have a good week
Wingless bandit link not work
They should use the same magnets in brushless motors and put them in brushed motors
Inrunner brushless dc motors have permanent magnet rotors. RC dc Brushed motors have magnets on the outside.

@@dagreekratking4694that's not the case majority of the time though. Brushed motors are known to wear down and lose performance over time.
I do agree but you said traxxas 12t and i have had a couple and never let me down and i was speaking from my experience only@@cd-pu5uv
@@cd-pu5uvthere's always that guy who buys a new motor for every main. Go have fun.
@@scottleggejr yeah and I'm not that guy. So go have fun. Lol.
It’s interesting Traxxas introduced the new 2s brushless & Arrma introduced the new 3s upgrade kit I have a Senton Mega 550 that it’ll drop right in.
Cool channel brother
Cool video nice track
Link to get the body for the bandit
thanks for reminding me! Added!
Great video
Mod class is less expensive than stock class
Do you think traxxas should make a Formula 1 car?
to be honest i don't buy or even like like traxxas or Team Associated RC's 🤣
