Looks awesome. I personally love the BL 2s platform. Sure they don’t have rocket ship speed, but that’s the point. They’re quick enough for the track, but not so fast that if you have a mishap, it’ll break. My slash BL2s has survived many outings with my neighbors 7 year old daughter. She’s put that thing through the wringer and it’s still going strong and nothing has broken. It’s durable and fun to drive. I may just grab one of these new mudbosses. Most of my recent purchases have been Arrma. But this one’s peaked my interest a little. Great video, Mark.
For someone looking to get into dirt oval and getting a Mudboss, i feel like traxxas nailed it. For the cost you get the brushless motor, the tires and the body and don't have to mod. Not that my opinion matters, but this is one of the few times i feel traxxas killed it, especially the bodies fit the class of car!!!!
Traxxas stoped to be race cars after 2000s no days they are so long after the curve of race cars that the nearest is vintage racing (bandit in buggy class) or spec class racing.

Yep pretty much! Now this one has a few “upgrades” so in my opinion it is worth it unless you already have a modded slash then just get the body and other needed parts
Well I give Traxxas credit for thinking a little out of the box & here it comes, but it’s still placing a different body on a basic same old chassis other then a few things like new bumpers. Traxxas needs to update a lot of the basic parts & chassis.
If it ain’t broke don’t fix it, I love that I can still find parts for my 10 year old slash and keep it going. I don’t want to waste my time or money on an rc that I won’t be able to find parts for in 2-3 years when it inevitably breaks!

Such a fun car when converted to a 1/8 buggy, and traxxas doesn't even have a 1/8 buggy in they're line up to compete with other companies you'd think they would jump on in and produce a backslash buggy

This is so freaking rad, I think we have a new outdoor dirt oval near where I live that some of our local sprint car, imca modified and late model drivers go run their rc cars on when they aren't racing their big cars at the speedway. I might have to go check it out now and maybe get into it for something new.

Wow! I'm surprised you liked this. You're usually so tough on Traxxas. Traxxas has been killing it lately with these last few releases. They've helped me save a lot of money and buy good rigs from other brands by making cars I've got less than zero interest in. 2s is great and plenty of power and speed. In a 14th or 12th scale car. This particular one could be 64S and still be of no appeal. Only thing it does for me is make the 2s Rustler seem less horrible. Thing is a wanna give Traxxas money. I used to buy only Traxxas. Then after the Xmaxx they completely gave up on exciting cars for a wide audience and now focus on how to use decades old chassis to wring out a few more dollars for those loyal remaining fans.
For those of us that don't usualy do circle track this great. A complete package out of the box set up to hit the track. Just drop in our battery and go! For under $400....

$380 USD, a bit on the expensive side considering the BL2S but with all of the heavy duty parts, magnum transmission, and GTR shocks, it's honestly not a bad buy. I'm definitely picking one up. I'll see what it takes to convert it quickly between a heavy duty Slash short course, and the midwest mod. I think these will sell really well honestly.
