Best review I’ve seen of the Formex Essence. Detailed and very informative. I might add one to my collection.

If this came out by a major watch company, it would cost 10x this. No doubt in my mind. Great review. I think I'm going to buy my first Formex, but in the 43mm as a 40th b'day gift to myself. Thanks for the insight

This is the first Watch review I’ve seen by Wr4k. I enjoyed it very much. It’s the best review of a watch I’ve ever seen and I’ve seen quite a few. Your thoroughness and attention to detail is excellent. I’ve never seen any other reviewer point out many of the details in a watch that you did here. Thank you for a great review. I am now a subscriber.

I have the blue dial version , and just bought this and had it delivered today... I had planned on selling the blue dial, but as I was playing with my new white dial version, I put my bracelet on the white dial and put the Formex blue leather strap on the blue dial, they now look like 2 different watches if that makes sense, and I dont think Im going to sell the blue dial, but keep both, I think these watches which can be found with 10% off in the UK, are best value on the market, I also bought a white dialled Christopher ward this week, that I will be returning...
My long-winded point is, these are as another RUclipsr said recently, very cheap for what you're getting, Ive owned Omega Agua Terras and Grand Seikos which these pinch some design language from, and find these better in every way, Agua Terras always made me angry with no micro adjust, and GS to light..
Just found your channel and this is best review out there, thanks!

My favourite watch reviewer 4k. This watch looks so good .👌 The better timepieces seem to be released in the wooden boxes. ❤️

Not caring much for recognition, I'm having a hard time pulling the trigger on an Aqua Terra when this Formex exists. I wouldn't be able to swim with the Formex, but I'd be using a diver for aquatic adventures regardless. The finishing, bracelet and unique suspension system provided enough value at this price point that I consider this to be a steal.

Great design, great strap and a great brand that looks good

A fantastic review as always, am i correct in thinking the lack of a screw down crown is due to the unique suspension system? I've ordered this watch with the Malachite dial, should be with by Christmas. 🤞🏻

A screw down crown could still be possible. Regards, #WR4K

Great review. Not having a screw down crown is a showstopper for me.

I think that the crown being screw down wouldn't give the watch 200m of water resistance, because it's a screw in back. It's part of how it obtains the thinness... There are trade-offs.... But I like the uniqueness of its design. Also I usually always prefer female endlinks, But the watch begging so short lug to lug.... And because of the angular form factor they're going for, these makes sense.... It's obviously a creative choice. Nice watch. Thanks for the review.

"I think that the crown being screw down wouldn't give the watch 200m of water resistance, because it's a screw in back"
200 metres water resistance is possible with screwed on case back Ram.
Push/pull crowns give 100 metres of water resistance. Screw down crowns give 200 metres.

I’d like to see a fully brushed bezel for this- too shiny for my Liking - definitely a screw down crown too- apart from that- lovely

Nice review. Can you review next time the Invicta Men's 8926OB Pro Diver
.It is different from the Invicta you had reviewed. Thanks.

Hello everyone, I may need a little help here .
I would like to buy a new watch and I am hesitating between this Formex essence 39mm and the longines Conquest 39 mm automatic ? Can anyone please give me advice
    Best

    • @craigriley9892
      @craigriley9892 Год назад +1

I own a longines hydroconquest, which isn't the same as conquest, but close enough and I love it. That being said, I think you get more for your money on this one. Conquest is more water resistant, but its thicker. Plus, how deep we really going? Either way, both great watches. I'm buying this watch in 43mm. Was gonna buy a Sinn 104, but i think this takes it. Good luck.

Hey there! Do you think theres any way to test whether a steeldive sd1953 v2 really has 300m WR? I've only seen people testing watches with that machine that can only do up till 100m

I really enjoy your reviews, but I cringe every time you adjust the quick-set date with the hour hand in the top half of the dial. It is my understanding that this can damage the watch. Is there something I'm missing? (Incidentally, I have a Formex Essence 39 and it is very nice!)

    • @watchreviews4k

The SW200-1 isn't damaged by changing the date between 9.00pm and 4.00am Mike. Congratulations. Excellent choice. Wear yours in good health. Regards, #WR4K

I understand it's a fantastic watch... I do... But it's just out of my price range, unfortunately. I wish I could get it but it would be irresponsible to spend that much on a watch for me. Hope you can understand.

Such of mixed feelings about it. Very good specification, interesting features and unique design. But as I'm kind of person which likes classic and timeless design I see it too odd. On the other hand there's very unique piece but I'm not sure is it for me and have I ever purchase one.
