  • I do have a LOT of stuff to film but I can’t be bothered and don’t have the time to work on any of it right now. Therefore videos may be few and far between.
    Anyway, here’s a Tunstall TS700 endstation with a Menvier TSNETSTAR Starburst RKP, Rokonet COSMoS DT/RK115DTI and a faulty CQR Integra BC500-HS/B500-HS that has seen better days due to water ingress. The comfort LED wires have corroded off, the strobe tube snapped and there is something wrong with the inductor/sound generator circuit that is making it sound at a quicker rate. I quite like it though.
    Thanks for watching.

    I just noticed, your alarms in the UK seem to have a delay with the Bell box when the alarm is tripped

      Depends on where it was installed. Bell delays are generally programmable unless the panel is very simple. Most I’ve seen have no delay.

    How do you remove old 90s alarms safely cause I am like 12 but I am learning plus getting rare alarms to find out how to wire 😊

    • @alarmmuseum
      @alarmmuseum  11 месяцев назад +1

      You just need to ensure that the mains power is off (fuse in the fused spur is removed - that way no one can turn it back on) and the battery is disconnected to prevent any wires touching and shorting.
      Ideally with a lack of experience I’d get other people to remove them for you. Sometimes they’re very difficult to get off walls - especially old bell boxes.

      In the description they said that the tone generator relay on the board is faulty so it goes faster.

    Interesting how the panel delays the bellbox activation when going in alarm

    • @alarmmuseum
      @alarmmuseum  7 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah it’s a programmable setting on many panels. You can adjust the length of the bell delay as well.

      @@alarmmuseum that’s very interesting, I wonder if other uk panels did it or just that one, i know that panels here in Canada never have a feature like this as we don’t use bellboxes, we use indoor self contained sirens or sometimes outdoor self contained sirens that are either mounted in the loft or on the side of a building pointing straight at the front of the building

    • @alarmmuseum
      @alarmmuseum  7 месяцев назад +1

      Pretty much most modern panels used in the UK have a bell delay feature, unless it’s some awful wireless thing.
