1990 UK Intruder Alarm System | Scantronic 9800
The keypad is not the original one, however the cover/flap for it is original.
Here’s another Scantronic 9800. This one was installed in 1990/1991 with a NovaGard 3 external sounder I think. The Nova 3 has since been replaced by a 2010 NovaGard 2 Metal GA Series.
The endstation was unfortunately subject to being attacked by someone with a pickaxe from what I can tell. Not sure why. As you can tell, it still works, although, there are some faults with it.
Equipment used:
- Scantronic 9800 control unit/endstation
- Scantronic 9825 remote keypad
- Optex Wonderex CX40 PIR
- IntelliSense DT-725D dualtec detector
- Gardiner Technology (GardTec) 16 ohm extension speaker

Bailey Associates H Type Intruder Alarm Bell Box
Просмотров 601Месяц назад
Here we have a rather interesting H Type, with a CQR cover and a Bailey Associates metal backplate, complete with the board of a CQR SO6012 sounder facing rear wards, a Scantronic SAB module, a Kinetic Security amber xenon strobe flasher, and wall, screw and internal cover tamper. Thanks for watching.

    The house I previously lived at had alarms somewhat similar to this however they were installed in late 1997 or 1998. Was either the panel or an indoor alarm that made several beeps then moved onto a more quicker beep before going into a more continuous mode for 10 minutes. This was normally after a power cut had ended lol

    I’m surprised for one of those ADT alarms to have a bell instead of a siren.

    • @alarmmuseum
      @alarmmuseum Месяц назад

      @@user-ym9cu5xt1w this is the case sometimes. ADT bought Modern Security Systems sometime in about 1996/7 I believe. The hex box design was made for Modern originally in the mid 1980s, and when ADT bought them, they decided they wanted to use this design for all their boxes - so when ADT came to servicing or upgrading the system, they put their new cover over the old bell, as it fitted due to it being the same plastic mould.

    Wow that is a high security type H and would of cost a lot more than the standard plastic backplate one back in the day. The inner metal box protecting the sounder and circuit wpupd have made this box a lot harder to destroy too, whereas with most once the cover is snashed off the siren or bell would be right on display. Very interesting video, I have never removed one of these boxes myself before.
