Scantronic 9800 Intruder Alarm System Demonstration

- Here is a Scantronic 9800 alarm panel, with a 9825 keypad, unbranded 16ohm extension speaker, Aritech DD105C PIR, and a CQR Integra HS. I don’t have the enclosure for the panel as I threw it out after thinking that the board was faulty. Turns out the NVM had just corrupted and it needed resetting!

I totally agree! One of my favourite companies. Such a shame they were gobbled up by Chubb. Got quite a bit of their old kit I have taken out though.

@@realstevequinton Yes! I love the ‘Tombstone’ Anti-Foam boxes, C Types, Integras, all the Westcountry stuff. I consider myself a fanboy for all their equipment. 😂
And the ones with ‘Westcountry Security - a Chubb group company’ fitted after the takeover for short time. Delta 5, 6, HS500 etc.

A lot of the Integras I take down are broken unfortunately. This one has a dead sounder and strobe. It’s just old age as it’s from 1992.
Might also be to do with the fact that I dropped it from the top of the ladder accidentally as well. 😂 The board came from a 9800 I was given by an engineer about 5 or 6 years ago and I removed the keypad from a closed shop unit which was part of a shopping centre due to be demolished.

Yeah it is although not for long periods I’d recommend.

100 to 105dB I want to say?

@Alarmenthusiast48 it was an updated version with a more modern 9827 keypad (although still compatible with the 9825), it produced entry/exit tones from the speaker as well instead of just the keypad, it was updated to conform to the latest EN standards at the time (not sure in what ways though) and the later 9800+ has the same alarm tone as the 9x5x range of panels.

‘Sr’ means ‘system reset after total power failure’.
This means the system will need to be reset, possibly with an engineer code, but it could be with your user code.
