Character models, water, and light effects still look decent, but it's got some REALLY muddy textures that were sub-par even by the standards of the time of its release.
The game being shown should be labelled, cause I was never sure when I was looking at the game you were talking about or random footage unless I happened to know the game.
I'm not sure if it's a common thought, but I can't help but suggest that these videos are in desperate need of pauses... You go from one topic to another so quickly that it's easy to lose concentration. Give viewers a chance to think of what facts they were just told by pausing in between topics. It's important to give periods their proper timing.

I realize and sympathize that there's going to be very little footage -- if any -- of cancelled games. But you really need to make it EXPLICIT when you're showing a video clip not related to what's being discussed. That was incredibly confusing. :P
Looking back at a lot of these, several promising games seemed to fizzle due to lack of publisher wanting to pick it up. It really makes me glad for all the indie programs and digitally distribution channels available for self-publishing games nowadays

Ion Runner looks like it would have been a good game. I really like the artwork. Stuntpigs looks and sounds like it would have been a fun little game too. Asylum on the other hand looks like it would have been absolutely terrifying.

We often think about big game studios like Rockstar, Ubisoft, Naughty Dog, etc etc. But there are a lot of game studios trying to break in the industry but didn't make it.
I can get not wanting to do the GCN Mother game as a SEQUEL, but not doing it as a remake of the first, second or both original titles in the new art style, was a huge missed opportunity, even if it had remained Japan only.
