In retrospect, the choice did not matter in regards to how bad the choices would be, because yeah, it's all out of his hand now and that's the better of the two options.

"Xolo's deal" is like a new version of a prisoner's dilemma. It would be interesting to break that down even further and determine what the most rational choice is.
The most rational choice is to both reject the deal (simultaneously if that matters). Xolo can't actually attack either because then he loses, so he's left doing nothing and they can both kill him whenever they please. I'm amazed they played into his hand! He basically made a big bluff to make them feel threatened while he was in a losing position and they took it. It's similar to when someone tells you to not target them with a spell because they'll counter it. If everyone continues to not target them because they're scared of the counter the person effectively gets to counter lots of extra spells. The right play is often to simply dare them to use their counter.

That Selvala’s Stampede segment is literally my favorite clip of any Game Knights ever. EVER. Absolutely perfect! And don’t worry, JLK, I still know “free” is the correct choice every time!
I feel like "wild" is the better choice, because they wouldn't cast the spell if they couldn't win with the cards in their hand (it also allows any permanent); if it's "wild," yeah it's from the deck, but it's random, which means they can't necessarily win the game from those cards, and they have to be creatures only.
Am I mistaken or does Josh's Commander say "Look" not "Reveal"? He only has to reveal what he chooses yeah? Either way super dope deck! Building something similar so it's cool to see the skeleton being played.
you dont have to reveal any of them you just exile one but it is exiled face up therefore your opponents know what you chose. so there is NO reveal clause in any of the actions, it just becomes known since it is exiled face up

Very small detail, but I do appreciate the use of Majora's Mask clock sound effect for the night to day transition! Also, Josh didn't need to show the cards with Florian's ability, you look at the cards, only revealing the one you choose to exile.

Xolo: "Josh you said he wasn't gonna get any more cards"
Voxy: "You promised!"
I love how Voxy and Xolo sound like heartbroken kids who were let down by their dad
Awesome episode! Xolo was great and extremely animated. Would love to see him come back for round 2.
Love the Cobra Kai series. Glad to know these actors are all playing EDH between shoots. Incredible.
Xolo learned from Jacob on the set too
Gianni DeCenzo also plays, they play all the time on set
@@cacs2201 I wonder how they feel about proxies and the reserve list... 🤔
Who knew Master Miyagi's Wax on Wax off training would work so good at tapping and untapping MTG cards.
I find it amusing how often I draw into Temple of False God but rarely draw my Sol Ring, almost a statistical anomaly
43:19 Wolf pack of one :P
You remember bad plays but not the good ones. Temple of the False God is often a bad draw, Sol Ring is not.
Idk what this other guy is talking about but honestly my guy take out the false god and put in a mana rock. Thran dynamo taps for 3 colorless

Thank you so much Josh Lee Kwai for enlightening me with the epic deck tech. This deck fits my style so perfectly. I can never thank you enough.
Can I just point out that Xolo is just the most adorable enthusiastic person ever
Man, that was some Nash equilibrium logic for that last stretch.
Props to you guys for the prisoners dilemma.
I was hoping they'd do a countdown and answer yes or no at the same time to make it a true prisoner's dilemma!
Josh’s face when Jimmy resolves Selvala’s Stampede🤣
Xolo!!! Welcome to the show bud! Best of luck!
Update: Wow Voxy killed it! Such a fun game to watch.
Josh got played when he said “What are the chances that he has 4 really awesome cards?” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 That was kinda funny especially when it was replayed lol
Always a pleasure to see JLK do his twenty minute turns where he draws and casts most of his deck.
Yeah that's my favorite parts about this show lol
When you guys showed everyone howling in the couch you should definitely have just sat a random dog howling there too 😆
Jimmy's dog from the early episodes
I cant wait to finally try my updated version of my werewolf commander deck. Tovolar is so sweet. It's nice to finally see a werewolf deck in game knights. I love flooding the field with a bunch of werewolves and wolves that have trample, haste, deathtouch, and double their power. I use doubling season, parallel lives, second harvest.
Xolo casually creating the Prisoner’s Dilemma at the end of game 😂
This is, like, the only channel on RUclips I don't skip through the sponsored content on. I appreciate the production value and work that went into it. It's funny, relevant and engaging.
Dragonlord Kolaghan would be a perfect fit for that dragons approach deck Josh!! It gives haste to other creatures and has haste itself, taking that out of the library is nuts.
And would be a glorious counter if he happens to ever run into someone else with a similar deck :P
That Wheel of Fortune animation might just be my favorite one yet.
That sound effect really did it for me 😂
Absolutely! I love all the animations, but this is the first time I paused the game and went back just to rewatch one. Now I'm hoping to see a wof every game knights!
I feel like this has been one of the most entertaining game knights. I was actually rooting for Josh!
You guys make very excellent content on this channel, just wanted to say really appreciate all the effort! ☺
That little dragon burning everyone's life totals is a pretty incredible animation. It's by far my favorite one in this episode!
I love this Channel. I remember playing when I was a kid sneaking into the Science Lab and playing during lunch. Finally getting back into it and after VGH Jimmy has made it fun. Plus having all the new people join. Loved the return of Karate Kid!
To be fair, I'd reveal that too. The choice looked agonizing
Yeah on arena it triggers like that. You get to look at all the cards and then just reveal the one you choose.
Reading is busted
Its Josh's big pp play
you dont have to reveal any of them you just exile one but it is exiled face up therefore your opponents know what you chose. so there is NO reveal clause in any of the actions, it just becomes known since it is exiled face up
My GODS what a game. Never have I rooted for everyone in such quick succession and never have I seen such ballsy deals get made.
I've been watching you guys for years and I play magic and love how you guys just play to have fun
Ok seriously y'all, the editing and graphics in this episode were INCREDIBLE, amazing job as always to the editing team!!!
32:30 Knowing (since spoiled in a previous ep) that Jimmy runs Phage in his deck, I really wished everyone voted for "Wild" :-D
"Commander is a Singleton format"
Josh Lee Kwai: are you sure about that?
There's also his Shadowborn Apostle deck from an older episode.
@@nooneknows3520 it's almost like I was referring to that as well.
32:53 this was by far one of the best moments in Game Knights, you should compile the best moments in Game Knight and Extra Turns at the end of the year :D
A Game Knights for the ages. One of my favorite episodes to day. Such a fun game. So many twists and turns and some really great fun politicking. Xolo seems awesome, and I loved Voxy's sequencing. Will check out her stream for sure.
Xolo was a great player! I loved his politics, and his commitment to using nearly exclusively fancy basic lands
So excited to see Tovolar in action. Great to see Xolo chose him :) Was hoping to the very last second he would have a secret "moonmist" in hand ;)
Good game and congratz to Voxy
The animation in this episode is really on point.
37:08 "Free spells are good." Much like the free cards I gave Jimmy.
No matter what they picked Jimmy would have got 4 free cards
This was really by far my favorite Game Knights Episode. It just showed everything I love so much about Magic and Commander: The absurd powerful surprise cards by Jimmy, the almost infinite loop of dragon approaches with everybody praying for it to end and the debates and deals between the players. It just showed hom much joy this game can bring and how these people connect through it. Enjoyed it very much, thanks for that
Love those new tokens! :D Speaking of Kathleen and Graham, I really really hope you can do another episode with LoadingReadyRun. The previous episodes with Kathleen and Graham are still the best you have done! :D
Best animations yet! Tovolar and Shadowspear were amazing!
Love Josh's deck! I recently made a dragon's approach deck with Mizzix of the Izmagnus, but I didn't even think about Florian.
Watching this game makes me want to build my own Dragon's Approach deck, and I had my eyes on Vadrik from the new set already. How does your Mizzix perform? I have the feeling that going Izzet will make this strategy even more consistent than what Josh is doing with it.
Ay Voxy and Xolo were both awesome guests, I'd love to see them on again :D Great game
The look of joy on Josh's face when he says "it doesn't matter how many cards you have if you're dead" is pure menace
I just wanna say you all have really upped your production value and you can tell. This episode looked amazing.
Shouldn't Josh have gained a life from Meathook Massacre seeing the Enduring Angel die?
Besides that, though, this episode was AWESOME!!! Josh, I loved your deck! It was really creative and unique!
Xolo casually dropping the intro of "awoooo's yourself" xD
Amazing game and episode as always, you guys are killing it =)
Hands down my favorite episode. This game was amazing. Gratz to everyone, the decks were amazing, the plays were amazing, the deals were amazing.
Loved the It's Always Sunny reference! "So anyway, I just started casting" 😂
“This is one of the best cards you can be playing on turn three in magic”
-Jimmy; describing cultivate
:(
I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure Josh doesn't need to reveal all the cards he looks at, only the one he exiles.
He doesn't, Florian says "Look" not "reveal," so he punted a bit
that seems to be how the card is worded since it says look at instead of reveal the top x
Yeah he shouldn't reveal all the cards just the one he exiled
Reading is busted
Whos doing these animation? It’s insanely good.
Voxy is secretly playing modern in commander.
How?

@@saranoma6910 wow you're so funny I can't believe the comedy displayed by you in this comment section
Very small detail, but I do appreciate the use of Majora's Mask clock sound effect for the night to day transition! Also, Josh didn't need to show the cards with Florian's ability, you look at the cards, only revealing the one you choose to exile.
Looking forward to that reward package. Love what you guys do. Helping renew my love for magic. Just getting started again after about 10 years off.
The animations are top tier, my goodness!! Love then all, another incredible episode!!
For everyone who doesn't like adds or fluff, intro to players and their decks starts at 4:09 2nd commercial break ends at 36:14
😍😍😘
That was an amazing game. Josh's dragons approach combo was great and the ending was perfect
How can he have 4 of the same card in a commander deck? I thought you couldnt have multiples.
This is such a cool channel. Love seeing the creations. It definitely was my inspiration to create a lot of my own decks. Although my Winota and my sen triplets decks were completely home brew.
After this episode went public, card kingdom legitimately ran out of dragon's approach immediately. Sweet deck!
