I spit out my coffee when "bejeweled corona virus" came out of your mouth...and speaking of coffee, I've got a great idea for a monstrosity watch prototype. It needs to be based off all the tiresome props we all use on Instagram to make our watch shots look "cool". The dial face maybe a doubloon of some sort. obviously coffee beans are a must. Shall we use then as indices? The bezel will be marked with "SEIKO MOD" instead of numbers or hashmarks. ...maybe the caseback could be made from the lens of a vintage camera? I LOVED this episode!

You DID almost literally kill me with this one, by choking on my drink......You mention the Invicta as being as horrible as a watch found on the wrist of a month old corpse during Summer.....I used to work in the funeral industry, and had the dubious pleasure of having to remove a watch from just that situation (for returning to the family). Even after washing (Yes it was waterproof), you could still smell it from outside the room. The gentleman wearing it was somewhat wriggley, with subdermal lifeforms. He was SO incredibly unpleasant visually that I still remember his name 15 years later! After an hour of removing and cleaning the watch (can't remember what it was), the family didn't want it, having got a whiff!

That last one - the green befurred creation - is hilarious. On a serious note, if I were going out dressed entirely in green velvet this would be my go-to watch.
Thoroughly enjoyed this video, it flowed like poetry of a horological verity, yet the writing is strong and bold enough to stand on its own. Not just move out of the house and starting a new life strong and bold, but insisting that it’s first flat being a sovereign nation type of strong and bold. It may have been about horrible watches, but hearing you wax lyrical about just how masterfully the horror embodied in them was, was indeed a feast. Excellent as always Andrew!
I need that Invicta. I really fancy myself entering the posh Grand Seiko boutique in Paris, asking to try a delicate spring-zaratsu-shunbun stuff and negligently put that monstrocity on the shelf.
I think I'm having as much fun watching it too. Btw when are you gonna release your next book Andrew? Would be happy to stand in line to enjoy more of your writing!

Nice video on these watch artistry bad sides, Andrew 😂⌚👍. Certainly looked more like festival costume watches than just watches.
