Me with ADHD Hi so I’m 13 and I don’t if I have adhd but I’m having a lot of trouble in school because I can’t focus but I’ve never been able to focus and I forget about my assignments and my emotions are out of control and I’m hyper and annoying and people get mad at me and adhd runs in my family but I’m a girl so people don’t see it and it’s really messing with me and my grades were ok when I was little but they are dropping very low and all these thing and more are getting worse it’s not only messing with my school but it’s also messing with my family and friends and others and there are so many things I can rant about but I really don’t see a point but I was just wondering if you could give me any advice because it’s really messing with me thank you so much for reading this I’ve also had a really hard life when I tell people about it they think it’s a made up story but it’s real and it’s just starting to get better but this is just another obstacle in my way again thank you for reading this And any advice is welcome thank you And I’m just so smart and I know it but I can’t show people that because of the fact I can’t focus and I never get my work done and how I act I also have anxiety and really bad racing thoughts and I’m really all over the place and when I think of something I have to say there’s a lot of other things am I repeating myself sorry if I am also I’m sorry if I’m all over the place

@@BlackHeart16905 I know you were asking Me with ADHD but I feel like the advice you need in this situation is pretty obvious: talk about it with an adult who will listen. I recommend starting with your regular doctor, ask about seeing a psychiatrist, tell them about the issues you're having. If your parents are willing to listen you could talk to them first. Maybe a school counselor or school therapist?

i was diagnosed with adhd recently. since i am a teenager and pretty late in diagnosis, i already had many bad experiences with it because people chalked it up to behaviour issues and not being medicated didn’t help either. This lead to me being bullied and scolded all the time (especially since i was a girl and my teachers saw impulsively as a guy thing). Since my diagnosis I’ve been healing and a bit happier. looking back now a lot of things made sense. I still haven’t reach the confidence to tell people about it aside from family but I hope to fully accept this part of myself one day. Channels/support groups like this have help me understand and try to overcome. thank you sm for the information and positivity you share on the topic.

I've had a lot of mood swings my entire life, and when I feel wronged, I feel exactly like this. I don't think I've ever heard someone talk about themselves and feel like they were actually talking about me. I'm 28 and I started getting help, and while it's getting better, it's also really hard to go through alone. Thanks for letting me know I'm not, man.

    I can’t tell if I’m over-reacting or under-reacting anymore.
I feel everything so much and so intensely that I wind up creating extra issues and arguments in my own head while trying to understand the initial problem.
I know my life is changing and most things are not working out for me right now. But I can’t express how hard this has been affecting me.
Meds work but they also create their own small list of issues.
    Meds work = toxic introspection
No meds = panic attacks induced by racing thoughts and lack of focus.
I’m alone in my world and I’m scared that I’m only going to continue to feel like this forever.
To anyone who knows what this exact feeling is just know you don’t have to feel alone and I’m sorry you or anyone has to feel like this. I love ya and remember you are human and not all of us are wired the same so it’s okay to feel a lot just try not to react a lot.

Started meditating especially during COVID I’m in college rn so being away from school has been super tough. But for all my ADHD people mediation is key for emotional regulation. There have been times for me where I completely blow things out of proportion and go on these huge tangents/narratives. Believe me whatever that situation is it’s not as bad as you think it is. If you find yourself in that rabbit hole just meditate I’m telling you it works. And reach out to people whether that be your boss or fellow students whatever and be honest with them don’t make rash decisions.

Thank you for explaining! I had no idea my over emotional-ness was due to my ADHD! One time while taking a quiz, I didn’t remember anything we learned, or even learning the material. I started crying during the quiz and got into such a state that I couldn’t calm down and TRY to solve the problems. And then after the quiz I had a meltdown because I knew I had failed. Now I know ADHD was likely the cause. Thank you again!

I find that I don't have too many problems with emotional regulation but that is mostly because I also have severe depression, which usually causes me to just sit in that emotional slump at all times. I do, however relate with RSD. I always feel that, and I find myself getting mad at people for complimenting me all the time. The worst part is cleaning up the damage afterwards. I hate the part of cleaning it up, because I know, in the end, I only have myself to blame for it. It's extremely frustrating.

This information is perfect! Impulsivity hands down me to every time!! Ugh. Also really struggle with what you were saying the last minute or so, I have such an obsession with perfectionism. Everyone always says I’m way to hard on myself and this is the very thing I am currently working on with my Therapist. I feel so sad for us ADHDers, it feels like we are constantly swimming against the current and yet trying to go with the current at the same time. Speaking though of our brains working a lot faster, I often get very annoyed and frustrated when non ADHDers can’t move as fast as me or can’t process things as fast as I do. The frustration comes because I then have to slow down to there speed or repeat things.

I Have ADD and also anger problem since childhood, my family had taken me to psychiatrist in past because i am a girl and shouldn't be lashing out like that etc im 25 now still lash out, the impulse is so strong that now even if i feel it rising in my body im like "ok im feeling angry take a deep breathe if someone gonna tell or ask you something it will trigger it so calm down ,be assertive, and mature", i will be telling all of these things to myself cognitively (after reading self help books was able to do this much) but as soon as someone ask even a simple thing like what are you doing i would lash out instantly thats out of proportion to the situation but another thing i have noticed is its usually related to painful sad stuff like what are you doing? I might be eating bland food and since i have severe digestive problems i cant eat delicious foods which i love but i cant have it, so sadness around it will cause anger, like other emotions of hurt sadness dissapointment all showing up as anger.(emotional dysfunctional) the way my anger shows is similar to people with BPD although i don't show any other signs of BPD other than anger, usually when there is some stress or work i have to finish i will be more irritable all day and my tone is really rude, and have an outburst that is very sudden as well, so im confused if my anger is a part of ADD or BPD

My anger i take out on my first younger sister because she’s perfect and is the favorite and she dosent have social issues and dosent have to deal with people not liking and dosent have a hard time making friends because people without ADHD or people who don’t understand it see me has annoying and being bullied from a young age and I don’t have many friends but even though ADD people don’t have the hyper part of adhd so not talkative they still understand adhd people because to people without it there still different then other peers without it

I had a meltdown yesterday visiting Alton towers. We went to visit the chained oak (the real hex tree) and walking in the mud made me have a verbal breakdown…. I don’t understand why but I feel bad cos I think I offended dad cos it was his idea to visit it…. I apologised and he didn’t think anything of it, but I still feel bad… why would I have a meltdown for just walking in mud? It’s beyond me! Everyone else cracked on with it…

I always described myself as an animal i act on instinct always knew something was off about me.
I have full range of emotions just that i cant always understand why i feel a certain way i just act ,this thing pisses me of 0-60 i react or get annoyed.
wasn't until i visited a doctor that i got sent to a psychologist (had trouble eating feelt like crap stomach churning didnt know what it was apparently it was stress and anxiety)
they said you ever think you might have ADHD, i was like uhh me? i dunno, Maybe? so i went for an ADHD evaluation and sure enough as an adult i got the diagnose.
Now iam waiting for medication se if that does anything to sooth and keep me in check
sometimes it just feels like im fast and the world is slow and sometimes it feels like im slow and the world is fast.

Is anyone else completley exhausted after such a meltdown no matter if silent or loud or somewhere in between? And did anyone else find a healthier coping mechanisim than eating sweeets to get some energy? I tried salad, I'd say walking and sport are great but not if you have "try out" sport in the evening and it's fking hard to get motivated to that before while or after everything was on black & red....true that?

This is so very me. I am only now exploring that I might have ADHD. Tics since very little, academic issues when little and teen, rejection issue all of it. I am having an appt with a psychiatrist this month. I am not wanting to take stimulants adhd meds. I do struggle with facial tics. Didn’t have them all last year. ( Interesting). Gonna watch more of your videos. Thank you. This really describes me. I am 57 yo.

Miaya G. Nah😂 I live around people with the same accent as Daz, so it’s not just the accent. Also, I have the same accent as Caz and I can confirm, as a 15 year old girl, I do not look like Daz😂
