Hya Rob!! Do you not do the lip balm in your range anymore? One of my faves and I’ve been through a lot!! Will you be doing it again or am I going to have to keep looking?!!!! 😩 ❤️🫶🏻
My mistake has been to find a great moisturizer that saves my skin and then buying a newer one that isn't nearly as good for my skin. I've wasted so much money doing this. Stick with what works for you.
Glad you mentioned number 4! Sunscreen doubles up as moisturiser for this oily gal during the day, and a light moisturiser at night to seal everything in! Wishing you a lovely weekend! ❤
Haha Jan you are my oily skinned hero its nice to know someone who has the same skin type as me and understands how oily skin works lol.. For years I used sunscreen and moisturiser together and always wondered why my skin felt so heavy.. love x
I think the central simple point of this video is important and took me ages to get- that a moisturiser doesn’t need to be expensive- it’s just a simple final seal to seal in the water in your skin. Great video!
Thanks for this video! You mention acne prone....I have normal-oily skin and recently added Paula's Choice Vitamin C and a Copper Peptide cream and find that I am suddenly having breakouts. I am assuming it must be one of these products but wonder if it may be because I am adding a moisturizer on top of these creams? I need to looks for other of your videos to see what you are using to prevent breakouts.
I love Beauty of Joseon Red Bean Water Gel for summer. It’s lightweight and not sticky. My skin is normal. Maybe a little on the dry side. For the winter, I love the MAS moisturizer and Geek & Gorgeous Happier Barrier.
Maybe some more information about chemical exfoliation? I know that it's something I'm supposed to do, and I have a general idea of how it works, but I'm not entirely sure how to tell if I'm doing it enough or too much, what else I can do on the same night that I exfoliate, if I am supposed to wait a predetermined amount of time before putting some thing on once I've applied an exfoliant. Just a really good overall view of what we might be getting wrong about exfoliating. Maybe even a comparison contrast two physical exfoliation, because I know there are some people that swear by it, but the idea of sandpapering my skin is terrifying!
Hey Rob, love you and today's notes! I'm in a bit of a skin care slump of just being l-a-z-y. I have noticed I do not need as much moisturizer as I usually 'slather' on. I'm anxiously waiting for my order to arrive--love love love the Super Serum and I'm OUT. Sending so much love and wishing you a happy upcoming weekend ~ Paula
❤ this video. I'm really interested in hearing about cleanser mistakes. My biggest moisturiser mistake is not using one. Even us grease slicks need something to protect all the good things we've done using our serums. I'm really looking forward to using the Mad About Skin Moisturizer and Sunblock. It's so easy to adjust how much of each product I use, a day gardening or a day working in the office, my skincare needs to really change.. ❤❤❤❤
I use the Vanicream Daily Moisturizer with 1-3 drops of squalane oil added for daytime. It’s a minimal formula with ceramides but not enough oil for my skin. At night, I’m currently using the Illiyoon ATO Concentrate Cream.
I so agree about assessing in the AM. Especially as I'm now using your sunscreen or Korean sunscreen. My makeup was looking cakey, and I finally figured out it was because I was putting on moisturizer AND sunscreen and my face was over moisturized prior to applying foundation.
This is just what was happening to me .. sunscreens dont really contain alcohol these days so they are a lot more hydrating so often dont need a moisturiser to go with them.. ;love xx
This is why I just use sunscreen as my day moisturizer. Even with my drier skin, both was just too much, plus saves me a step. I also don’t put on any makeup until it has had plenty of time to settle in. I put it on, then brush my teeth, THEN start in with any makeup.
👍🏻 Hey Rob! Hope you’re doing great. That was a very insightful video. We definitely need this series of what we might be doing wrong. I had never thought of choosing my moisturizer according to the season. Just like you, my skin is super oily so I always stick to lightweight texture. I’m also guilty of being conditioned to the rule that you always need to moisturize. Thanks for your precious advice. Have a good day 😘 P.S. Your skin looks absolutely gorgeous today
Thank you for this video, I am one of those that always had a moisturizer according to the season, since a teen, as I had and still have dry and sensitive skin/rosacea prone...therefore, I was pushed to read and educate myself, to avoid these mistakes.

@@kimwatts6338 not necessarily everyone s skin is different and serums are different different things work for different people after all the woman looked great!
What a great thing to point out again, Rob! ALWAYS check your ingredient list on your products. Especially if you have sensitive skin! I have a PHA cleanser I use ritually and would have severe reactions if I used it alongside my exfoliators. For example I make sure I switch to a nourishing cleanser like Allies of skin silk amino hydrating cleanser whenever I use something like the PSA Silver Lining moisturizer! Much love, Rob!
Hello hello hello hun and hope you had an amazing weekend.. I agree totally and the allies cleanser is the perfect pairing with the silver lining :) love you so much x
Great video. Sure you don’t have to over pay to get a good moisturizer, but I think it depends on your needs and your preferences too. I am lazy and want to minimize my skincare steps. I don’t have time or willingness for an extensive skincare routine. If a moisturizer has the actives or ingredients I’m looking for I buy it, esp if it replaces the essence or serum step. That said I have a maximum of about $100 because you need to be consistent with your products to see results. If a product is too expensive I’m not going to always be able to buy it and I won’t see results from it, or I’m going to expect miracles to go with high price tag… and that not realistic.
Hi Rob, love ur vids ❤ could u do a video on led masks/radio frequency and any other at home devices (i know you will give ur honest opinion). They are expensive and I wouldnt want to invest in something that isn't worth it. Hey Rob! You have really upgraded this grandmother's skincare routine! I can't WAIT to receive my order fron your skincare line. While I never wear cosmetics daily, I would like to wear them on my very sensitive skin for my daughter's wedding. Do you have any suggestions for a basic foundation, blush, powder and mascara? Photos last forever and I don't want to look like a ghost👻😱 at my daughter's wedding!
I never thought about it that way but it totally makes sense that sometimes extra moisturizer isn't needed. Overmoisturizing might be why sometimes my face just feels damp for so long some days.
Rob, I had just messaged you on serums and not knowing what I am doing and you nicely replied to offer to help me. And then this appears! Exactly what I need. I feel great about the products you suggest and then I get lost on when to apply what and how long to wait in-between serum and moisturizing. Also, I am using Torriden Cellmazing but have concerns with winter coming it may not be hydrating enough. Any suggestions? Thank you.
my new favorite is BringGreen Tea Tree Soothing Cream. it’s actually very gentle and extremely hydrating. my previous favorites were Round Lab Birch Juice Cream and Torriden Dive In Cream - both were nice for my oily skin but evaporated away / didn’t help with the flakiness around my nostril and mouth area. the reason why BringGreen works well is the high squalane content. it’s very nourishing and doesn’t break me out. it’s very very similar to the Purito Bamboo Cream and the S.Nature Squalane cream. lightweight watery moisturizers that have a good oil water balance

I go nuts at night with hydration and moisturizer. Avene Tolerance is awesome for my skin. Daytime- minimal. Vichy Mineral 89, Prequel Vitamin C serum, spot treat with alpha arbutin and azaleic acid where needed, then the LaRoche Posay UVMune 400 sunscreen lotion. I struggle with switching my moisturizer with thr seasons soon enough especially going from summer to fall to winter. i wait until im dry flaky and trying to play catch up!
I wonder if you can help. My skincare results seem to have grounded to a halt. My main concern being fine lines/crepyness under eyes. I use arg and maxtrixyl twice a day,spf and Nivea q10 moisturiser and also add retinal in this routine each evening. I’m not seeing results.. Help me 😂
hi hun, thank you so much hun... I would start with a retinoid and introduce it slowly and then build from there.. I have a video on the best retinoids if you are looking for some recommendations.. love x
I have a question i use Vitamin c in the morning and at night i use on one night stratia interface and rewind and on the other night i use tretinoin is this enough will this do the trick? Because otherwise my skin peel alot
I was just thinking how you really should pursue a TV deal. At least like a morning TV slot! You've got catch-phrases and everything, and a focus on budget-friendly options.
Can you please recommend any type of product that help controlling oil production?? I haven’t found anything that works. I need to make my skin less oily because I can’t stop pore clogging, as my skin is too sensitive to acid or retinol/retinal but is very oily 😢
I wish i could find something to help with pore size and fine lines esp under eyes. Bha and retinal do not agree with my skin. Right now i use BOJ red bean moisturizer, missha spf, and ma:nyo bifida serum.
I get that.. the Allies of skin one is a very special situation kind of moisturiser for when you need a lot of barrier support.. in that instance it would be the best option but for most who dont need that then going for the cheaper options would be the best.. hope that explains.. love x

Oh thank you so much hun.. Honestly I would love that lol.. love you x
Happy weekend all
Have a great weekend Pauline!
Happy weekend hun xx
@@tthibideauSame to you tom
I need guidance on the order of skincare application.😢
Can you please recommend any type of product that help controlling oil production?? I haven’t found anything that works. I need to make my skin less oily because I can’t stop pore clogging, as my skin is too sensitive to acid or retinol/retinal but is very oily 😢
I love sulphur its great at minimising oil production.. Naturium do a good one.. love x
I don't use a moisturizer is that bad?
No not at all its all about what works for you x
Come on a journey with us und become mad about skin 😊
I love this slogan lol.. Happy Sunday hun and hope all is wonderful and amazing with you xx
@@MadAboutSkin Happy Sunday Rob! Hope you have an amazing week ahead 😊
I wish i could find something to help with pore size and fine lines esp under eyes. Bha and retinal do not agree with my skin. Right now i use BOJ red bean moisturizer, missha spf, and ma:nyo bifida serum.
I think the thing which made the biggest difference in the long term has been azealic acid it really has helped with pores.. love x
Could you provide the link to the website that you can check ingredients on, please? I checked the video description but couldn't find it
its called the inci decoder :) xx
@@MadAboutSkin thank you!
I don't use moisturiser in the morning because I feel that my sunscreen is moisturising enough ❤
Same here hun.. saves a step and means my skin isnt weighed down.. love x
I do the same. My skin is naturally oily enough that I don't need notarize after my sums
Cindy, I’m the same as you
I still love oil of olay.
Thank you so much for watching and sharing your thoughts x
I am i bit confused. You said we should go cheap and then you recomend Allies of Skin. I understand that it is an option, but....
I get that.. the Allies of skin one is a very special situation kind of moisturiser for when you need a lot of barrier support.. in that instance it would be the best option but for most who dont need that then going for the cheaper options would be the best.. hope that explains.. love x
My dog has that same chicken squeaky toy 😂
