Great video thanks, My oil pressure gauge stopped working but before i replaced the sensor I was hitting on the cluster and popped off the speed needle, I'm going to remove it and check the solder joints even though my tach is working fine (2006 2500 hemi) but I'm unclear how to put on the needle for the speed control, I tried to pause the video and look at yr notes on paper but couldn't make it out (12 ???) can u help? do u think I should add the nylon washers and how thick were yours?
My 91 honda Civic would only start once in awhile, turned out being a little PC on the left of your knee under the dash. Either replace it or remelt the solder. I was told it was a combination of age, and hot cold cycles from weather causing then to crack. It is most likely the same here.
If you remove all the needles, TRY THIS! --- Plug the cluster into the vehicle and turn the key on, 1,2,3, then off. Unplug the cluster and install all the needles in the ZERO position. Plug the cluster back in and turn on the key. Does it look normal? Turn off the key. Are all the needles ZEROED? Yes - Congrats! Reassemble cluster. No - Remove offset needle and repeat procedure with that needle.
flatenboi85 that was a nightmare i did each one while the truck was running removed them and set them in the right place but i had an edge display to help me for some gauges...i wound up ordering a new cluster because i had more then one gauge that went bad
What was the exact issue with the tach? Mine just goes to zero occasionally and messes with the computer causing the computer to need to be rebooted. Someone said I need a speed sensor that feeds the tach. IDK.
I did this with mine also and have no damn clue how to get the needles in the right place again. thought about just leaving the lens off putting it all back together and then manually moving the needle as I notice it in the wrong place but that PROBABLY WON'T WORK EITHER.
Thank you thank you thank you !!!! You are a saint and a king for putting this out there. Helped me out a great deal.
This guy needs to make more videos. His voice is so great at narrating. The "smooth as a babies ass" fucking got me.
Me too😂
I just shimmed mine and my tach started working again. Guess I got lucky

That does work sometimes but it didnt for me i think because mine were way off. Worth a shot for sure.

Me too...can't please us all i guess
Why don’t you just make your own video then?
