Love going on the DAD'S ARMY journey with you mate, from down under.👍
Miss Brahms from Are You Being Served - out from behind the counter!
Looked forward to watching this with you on 'Dad's Army Friday' and the vid didn't disappoint :). Oh and I think the fish was 'snook' which was a cheap, common food in World War 2. Much less common now in Britain and I've never tried it.
Mr George Clarke played the Chief Inspector in the Dr Phibes movie with Vincent Price. He was brilliant in that film 😁. Another great review and brilliant episode 👍
Captain Mainwaring as the potty-mouth Sergeant, good one.
@@emucat1 That was hilarious. Also the basis for a Mastermind specialist question on Dad’s Army: How many times was Mainwaring not a Captain?*
Jimmy Perry & David Croft + that cast. 👌
* He was also stripped of a pip (Lieutenant) then reduced to the ranks in the same episode. Possibly also the pilot episode when still a civvy.
This line originates in English in Edward Fitzgerald’s translation of the poem The Rubáiyát of Omar Khayyam, 1859:
The Moving Finger writes; and, having writ,
Moves on: nor all thy Piety nor Wit
Shall lure it back to cancel half a Line,
Nor all thy Tears wash out a Word of it.
Great reaction as always.
One of the great episodes. 😂
Thank you!! 😁 Have a good weekend
