If she was able to do the splits or anything more interesting than being able to knit a scarf than I'd understand but its not an interesting skill I hate to say it. People don't freak out over their grandma knitting on the front porch but being a stripper or being amish which is pretty rare and interesting. She definitely seemed awkward when even saying it thinking that it might not qualify as interesting. I 100% think that if she did win that she'd be surprised. Granted they should be polite but also its good to respect the rules of the game cuz than everyone would win. This speaks to something deeper in how instantly these two males disregarded a woman for saying sewing, let’s be honest if a male said that, he’d definitely at least say tell me more.
In America (speaking for the place I know) sewing is viewed under the category of historically being women’s work and like most things that are primarily seen as women’s work in this country from daycare, teaching, home economics, sewing etc are often paid less, undervalued and not given the same level of recognition for their difficulty (because of the “women can do it, how hard could it be” sort of mentality)... so even though she said she was uniquely good at it, their instant reaction to shut it down as not interesting at the mention of the word sewing from a woman was greater. Well at least as fields are becoming more diverse gender-wise we can see positive ch age happening.

Since I was a child i have been tracked and studied by universities and every 4-7 years I take a massive test/study to see how my brain is developing.
lol the reason they do this is because for some reason someone born at the same time as me in the same hospital randomly got an unexplained rare brain disorder and they test others also born in the same hospital at the same time to see why we don't have it and they do.
