Because it basically means, most likely, you were raised in an at least middle-upper class family, had a decent education. and are so happy with your current material processions and willing to share without second thoughts on people because your encounters so far have not been failing you miserably. People can obviously be rich and mean. But when you are improvised or just feel you are below the standard of living you wished for, there is nothing to be nice and generous about. In an age when most young adults struggle to find their ground and single-worker family easily afford a house 30 years ago, quality like this can only be deeply appreciated but not hope for.
