Freddie's solo work was amazing, awesome and way before its time. Mr Bad Guy was brilliant especially Born To LOVE YOU, and Love Me Like There's No Tomorrow. Freddie's best solo album was Barcelona with Montserrat. They were a perfect match and made the most amazing fantastic music which was way ahead of its time and it was so sad that Freddie was taken before they had created more. FREDDIE IS THE ONE AND ALWAYS WILL BE THAT'S WHY HE'S A LEGEND AND ALWAYS WILL BE. Love you forever and always Freddie God bless you xxx 🎹🎹🎹😘😘😘🐱🐱🐱💝💝💝💝💝💝💝💝💝

I remember the first time I heard "in my defense". I was walking home from the grocery store with my hands full and the song came on. Id never heard it before and would have skipped it if my hands were not full. But as it played I was "oh ok this is good". And then BOOOM!!!!!!! I put my bags down and just stood there on the sidewalk motionless, mouth agape, skin goosebumped till the very end. After that I hit replay, ran home, and bursted into the house. My first act was not to put the food away, it was to run to my husband and say "have you ever heard of this song?????" (He loves queen/f.m too, had queen playing for me in the o.r during my emergency c-section 😝)

🌟 I think one video of Freddie's solo discography isn't enough... I could talk days about that...
There are some hidden gems that people don't pay attention or give a chance... I didn't know them myself too until I discovered them... I'm not talking about "Barcelona" cause this album is a diamond itself... All 9 songs are just beyond this world and it sadness me that they don't get the credits they deserve... "The Fallen Priest" and "La Japonaise" are 2 of them for instance... As well as "Guide Me Home" "Ensueño" and "Overture Piccante" which is a medley of all the tracks... That was a marvellous idea! Hats off to both Freddie and Mike Moran! 🙌🙌
🌟I'm talking about Freddie's great album, "Mr Bad Guy" which I call it "Hot Space II"...Even I have Freddie's " Never Boring"box, I had never paid attention to those 2 songs until recently I heard them on Queen's radio. These songs are" She Blows Hot n' Cold" and "Man Made Paradise" both beautiful... In the first you can truly enjoy not only Freddie's crazy vocals but his crazy piano skills, he rocks it there! 😱🎹 Oh Freddie what the Hell were you thinking about yourself!? 🙄 That's why you are so special and humble... Do you See that makers of "BohRap crapiography"? And towards the end of the second song Freddie's operatic moment..."Exercises in Free Love" already on his mind... Mind Blowing! I really love Mr Bad Guy because it's all Freddie! He played all the instruments, was the co producer, singer, writer, composer... He did everything by himself! ❤️❤️❤️
🌟I agree in everything you said about "In My Defence" it's one of the most beautiful songs and even it's not Freddie's, it describes him perfectly...when I heard for the first time, my jaw was dropped! What a lyrics, music and the most important... WHAT A VOCALS FROM FREDDIE! 😱😱😍😍😍😍😍
🌟Seriously now? You left out "The Great Pretender?? Also one of the best cover songs ever? Freddie made it his own.... And knowing the reason of why he did it that particular moment, it makes it even more special...You can easily fool by the outrageous video because that was Freddie's purpose... The same thing in "Living On My Own" video...Everyone sees the forest but not the tree...By that I mean, everyone sees the video but not the meaning behind its lyrics...💔
🌟Anyway, thanks again for the video and Merry Christmas! ✨🎄

Thanks for leaving such a well thought out comment. I didn't discussThe Great Pretender on purpose (I'm hoping I can make an entire video just on that track). I like what you said about Mr Bad Guy being a Hot Space Two, the albums do share a number of simmilarities, namely through how they both make use of the disco genre.

@@FineArtsMusic Oh, you were about to make a video only for "Great Pretender "? That's awesome...!
My pleasure, I love your videos and we kinda have the same point of view in many things... Except for "Hot Space" which I luuuuuve and you hate! Hahaha! But it's OK... 🙂🙂
I hope someday "Mr Bad Guy" gets the spot it truly deserves in music history... It's so unfair and somehow justice has to be done already... For Freddie!

I don’t. I am the biggest Queen fan you’ll ever meet, but I don’t like any of Freddie’s solo work. Or Brian’s. I adore about one third of Roger’s solo output, really like another third, and dislike the others. For Freddie, it was the style. Mr. Bad Guy has poor production and sounds like generic 80s music that could have been done by any forgettable 80s artist. And I hate opera. I’m not going to like it more just because it’s Freddie singing it.
